Considering the original level designers for Unleashed & Colors went to work for Mario Odyssey years later. And Forces was done by 2 inexperienced level designers that haven’t worked on a single Sonic game before.
I think they brought them back for Frontiers. I swear I recognized some level elements here in frontiers no, these ain't in cyberspace They're the unlockable fast travel rails
This almost makes me cry because you are so good and I'm so stuck in this level :'D I keep dying over and over and over again right at the beginning of this stage and it makes me both sad and angry so yeah... I haven't even try to play this stage in a LONG time.
Wow, es increíble! Viene buscando alguna referencia para ver qué onda y me quedé boquiabierta, yo soy terriblemente mala en esto, nada más no lo paso 😭
ik this is 10 months late but funnily enough one of the biggest complaints game "journalists" had with Sonic Colors was that the game's difficulty was too "hardcore", not even kidding. So don't blame Sonic Team for making easy games, blame game journalists for threatening to give bad reviews if a game doesnt hold their hand through the whole experience.
@@ctpp64 pretty late myself, but EXCUSE ME WTF?? They thought COLORS was too Hardcore??? COLORS??? Who in gods name do they have in charge of giving review like this 🤦🤦
I mean I agree with that for forces but not for colors and generations. I've played Generations and it's pretty fun. Haven't played Colors but judging from gameplay it also looks pretty fun. Though I do understamd people can have opinions.
There’s a difference between challenging and unfair, this stage just throws a bunch of stuff at you and expects you to react in an unreasonably short amount of time.
@@theobserver4214 I beat it right after I commented but don't remember what rank I got. The stage isn't too hard itself but a lot of these are trial and error tbh.
PsychoMagnet Yea, the stages when played casually are trial and error. But if you’re seeking S ranks, then this stage is one of the absolute worst stages. Unleashed in general just has bullshit S-ranks that demand TAS-levels of perfection along with lots of additional bullshit you aren’t told about (Get a high score, collect a bunch of rings, since rings score is added at the end this basically means you have to assume you are always on a no hit run, other obscure shit like punching the meteors at the final boss).
@@theobserver4214 Yeah I agree. The criteria isn't really clear besides "don't get hit". You also need to finish the stages as quickly as possible, and I think that boosts your score by a lot, but some of the stages can be really unfair sometimes. Especially if it's your first run.
Remember when Sonic Team knew how to design levels with masterful precision?

You may thank IGN for what the series has become later on.
@@HyperSonicXtreme Pretty sure it was Unleashed and Gens

more obstacles here than all forces levels combined

It’s stages like this that make me wish finishing stages gave you sun and moon medals like the SD version did
sickest run ever!
*THIS LEVEL IS BASICALLY TRIAL AND ERROR*
An actual good boost stage?!?! Huh, that's strange, especially since forces.
I bet u took so many retries that u finally did it perfect
Am I the only who actually enjoys this stage?
Hell no
La verdad es que es bastante hard la fase esta. Ojalá todo el juego fuese así de Hard.
Best stage I ever seen

I don't think hard automatically makes a level good.
I miss when sonic games where challenging now their too fucking easy even a day old baby could finish forces colours generations its a shame

How do you even beat this? Too many traps to react to...
PsychoMagnet Lots and lots of memorization. 4x that for the unfair S-Rank.
