The videos that I do watch, I watch all the way through.
The reason for this is simple. It's your character, knowledge and consumate skill that makes your videos a huge cut above all the rest. I'm surprised, if I don't learn something from almost every video - which in turn makes me a better woodworker.Sod being controversial, everyone should learn to be more tolerant - because no one is perfect - least of all me :-)

So that's what causes those nasty black marks when I put wood through my thicknesser! Mine has always done that, and I just accepted it as something that just happens. Guess I'll be making one of those bed upgrades too 😎

Clickbait can be effective, but it won't keep an audience if the content sucks. Your content doesn't suck.

I thought the thumb was just fine. I like the stool too. Through M & T with wedges ought to look great. As a rule I like your videos. I've often wondered if you've been formally educated in engineering because of the fantastic stuff you've created over the years. It seems to be miles beyond the output of a typical DIYer or even experienced carpenter. Only thing is, and please take this in the spirit it's intended... I don't know if it's helpful to chastise your audience.

I believe he put Focus Master down. He's either buried in John's backyard or ended up in the burn pile.
Focus ran off with a hot young maple sapling 3 years ago, and I haven't seen him since.

Considering the number of channels I have blocked because I don't like their titles/thumbnails, no, I'm not to blame for clickbait. I've blocked many channels I used to watch/like because of this reason. Viewers in general are to blame, I agree, but personally I will not go with it and I'd rather "miss out" on some content than contribute to this problem. We each have our limits on things like this. Your thumbnails/titles are not bad IMO.
Spoiler alert, John isn't really in the planer...look up any diagram of the magic trick of "cutting the woman in half". Remember his twin from the drill press video?
What is click bait???. I always thought click bait to be the picture to get you to watch, IE a half nude girl in a provocative pose. I get all your videos because I am subscribed to your channels and don’t look at the picture that comes with the video, when I have watched all the videos that have been added because I am subscribed, I will watch any of the twelve suggestions but if there isn’t any, I care for I usually choose one of my subscriptions and watch an old video. I do have a large list of subscribed channels, so I don’t run out of things to watch ever often.
I try to watch all your videos and click baits drive me up a wall. On the other hand, if your click bait thumb nail shows you in a bikini I will watch just to understand the tie in :).

Click bait is not a way to draw in folks. There are several channels on UA-cam that don't ever use it and their viewership is still climbing. There are many UA-cam influencers that have adopted this technique because their viewership has flopped. Algorithm vs plain $#!+y videos is the actual reason most tune out along with a gazillion freaking shorts. Some videos should not ever see the light of day on UA-cam, I know because I've watched several of them regretfully. Then, there are UA-cam channels that decided to completely break from their original content after becoming a "full time creator" turning off their base. Project videos don't draw in viewership, BS, drop a magnificent project and watch the views come in, drop a mediocre video & it will produce equal results. Brother I like your content, but some of your videos are subpar to what you have produced in past, plain and simple.
