Music critics said that this is Kylie minogue best album since light years
What is it with Australians putting their best things down ,You have the Queen of pop and you still find something to moan about, Kylie is Australia’s biggest export show her some respect
Just listened to Tension in full! I will say I’m not just saying this but IT IS her best album since Light Years. The two albums since post Light Years that I listen to almost all in full without skips is Golden and this one.
Her saying there is no theme i actually do feel the theme is Vegas Residency and a reflection of her career. There were elements of LGTI, KM94, IP, LY, Golden, Body Language, X, etc. throughout the album and I love that! My fave albums are LGTI, KM94, IP, LY because they are didactic and have different types of sounds you don’t know what you’re gonna get with those. I felt that feeling with this album!
My faves on first listen are Hold On To Now, Hands, Green Light, Vegas High, Story, Love Train, Just Imagine, Padam Padam
The title track I wasn’t big on at first but it’s growing on me and the beautiful video helps too. Things We Do For Love I love what you guys said about it being like a Corey Haims 80s movie and went back and listened now I don’t see it the same haha but I’m liking it more and more. I agree with the Hands and Green Light placement it’s perfect! She did great job with the track listing. I feel 10 out of 10 actually works for this album where it’s placed.
Green Light definitely reminds me of ROL and LGTI love a sax! That’s why it’s one of my faves! I love the visualizer she did for this song. The look and everything is fabulous.
I actually loveeeee Love Train reminds me of Kokachoo and I actually loveeee Kookachoo or even I Guess I Like It Like That. My fave Kylie songs are the more quirky ones Blue Mondays is one of my faves off Disco. Idk these types of tracks just make me smile.

That's a sad but truth conclusion on the end - we have now things like Spotify and probably only hard fans buy the physical copy of the album.
That's why the singers and artist should really give their best, that an album has a great album artwork.
Some fans have sometimes better ideas for album artwork, videos or tracklist than the artitsts or those people from creative teams, that take money for that.
I saw an album artwork, made by a fan, for Hard Candy from Madonna. She or he used the same photoshoot but with original background - boxers, and it was just WoW! Makes such a different, better impresion.
It was on some blog.
When it comes to Kylie, I think that "X" has the best album artwork. Simple. Natural. And just fun to look at. And really beautiful.

Is "Drum" an unrealesed track?
It's really good. I don't like the chorus, but the verses are great. It has more character. A little bit darker than the other songs.
I like the lyric "Set me free Get out of my body".
And one more time about "Tension" album. For me it's not really an album, it's sounds like a couple of songs that were realesed as an album.
I tried so hard not to listen to the leaked tracks, but what can I say? I'm just a simple, weak man...
I love it.
"Things We Do For Love", "You Still Get Me High" and "Vegas High" are my immediate favourites.

Yes music is changing, but you have to move with the times and still make it your own, I agree with Kylie, you can still make it good, you can make anything good, if you have the talent :)
Great Podcast! Kylie's album doesn't drop here till Friday. I have not listened to any of the leaked stuff. Are these two Aussies? They know their stuff. I will listen fully on Fri. I love "Golden" so I will be happy if it is reminiscent to that. Your impersonation of young Kylie made my day. And someone said critics are saying her best since "Light Years?" I will be very happy if that is the case. Always spot on "Time To Talk."
Maybe best since Aphrodite. Bring on Friday.

@@timetotalkaustralia Looks pretty clear it's the next single release and by the overall consensus of fans it's hit the mark. Personally it hit me harder than anything has in a long time.

I enjoy this album (half of it), but I would like to hear from Kylie in the future an album, that would be more personal, something deep, auto-reflecting etc. It could be still a disco-dance music, but it would be nice, if the lyrics would be more complex. Something out of this simple pop-formula. When the music would be catchy, it can work. Like something from her perspektive as a woman, that live already a little bit longer than some other pop stars. It would be refreshing. Because some of the lyrics, just some of them are so naive, that I can't stand it.
I think that from somebody that is so long in the music, you can expect more and you should expect more. And I just think about that, how long will be this formula working.. and I know that my opinion is probably unpopular and I actept that.
Just an album with a whole spectrum of emotions: joy, sadness, fear, brave, anxiety, shame, confidence, miserable, anger, compassion, jealousy, aceptance, frustration, disappointment, craving, isolation, strong, vulnerable etc.
Told you Time to Talk this would be a success 🎉

I’ve only properly heard what’s already in the public domain, hold on the now gave me chills and goosebumps hearing it live on the radio , it’s like the lovechild of all the lovers and drunk , don’t really get the best since light years comparison, I think Aphrodite is by far her strongest and most consistent post 2000s body of work in terms of quality

@@timetotalkaustralia I'm obviously happy that it's being received well, but why leak something during release week? Like, could you really not wait those final few days? All the momentum is ruined. I also don't get how leaks even keep happening... and to the highest of high profile people at that. Ariana for example is plagued by leaks and she keeps pleading for people to stop.
I'm back after spending a weekend with the album and have now listened to this pod. I actually would've loved a _liiittle_ more of the Padam/Tension vibes, but it's a fun album all in all. Could've done without One More Time, Hands, Green Light and Love Train. Oh... and 10 outta 10, but this one doesn't play on Apple Music for me anyway for some reason. It's greyed out.
Hold on to Now is my absolute favorite at the moment; 10 out of 10 is my least favorite.
