What do you think about growing mounted Neoregelias indoors?

Do I need to bother water the substrate? I don’t want to encourage rotting. Also my red cryptanthus prefers sun it seems
Because conditions are a bit dryer inside, keeping the substrate moist will help your broms stay healthy. Thanks for watching!
