I recently found out I have HPV a couple months ago and out of all the research I’ve done your video has helped me the most.
Also my gynecologist wasn’t much help, it felt like she shamed me for having it instead of talking me through it...
I figured out I had HPV when I got warts on my fingers and I’m doing my best to better my health bc when I found out I could get cancer I completely just broke down and I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t scared or upset at myself bc besides my current boyfriend I’ve only been with one person but I’m still trying to just live with it and wait until my Pap smear next year and I will be getting a colposcopy when I’m 24 (I’m currently 21).
If you ever see my comment I do have a couple questions.
I’ve had all my HPV shots as a kid so with that being said should I get these shots again or in the future??
And also, can you tell me a little more about warts on the fingers? And what strain of HPV that falls in?

Do you still have it?

Are the other strains of high risk HPV considered the “low rank of high risk”? Meaning that even though they are high risk they are not as linked to cervical cancer as to strain 16 and 18?

Wow! I'm definitely pro-vaccine, but I find the actual experience of getting the injections hella stressful, so I hope everything went smoothly and that he's feeling well.
The shot only prevents some of the HPV, the shot is not 100%. It is unfortunate.
