Hello Everyone!
Today I show you how to make a simple auger wood chipper using drill machine. This homemade wood chipper has auger, screw type cutting blade. I used four metal round disc to make the auger, screw then I welded this spiral blade to a 20mm shaft to make the wood chipper mechanism. This diy wood chipper mechanism is rotated by the drill machine through the chain drive. I step down the drill machine speed by using the sprockets and chain to multiply the torque for this diy wood chipper machine. I also attached a flywheel to this diy homemade screw wood chipper machine. This flywheel is used to provide continuous rotation to this diy homemade auger wood chipper machine. This homemade wood chipper is very simple to make. This diy wood chipper is very powerful. This homemade wood chipper cuts the wood very fastly. This drill hack works good. I think that mounting the solid flywheel onto the shaft first, then put the sprocket on the outside would protect the chain from wood chips better. Neat idea. Seems to work really well. A battery power drill could be used in remote locations for small chipping jobs. NIce job!

As a side note. most of the time, when there are comments in russian, (cyrillic?) spanish etc. I have the option in youtube to translate so i can read the comments in english. I dont have that here. pretty cool but that drill motor is not going to last. An electric motor of say 1/4 to 1/2 hp would be a better choice.

The author did his best and it came out well. the design is interesting, but the test video is a failure. the Sambucus barrels are very weak for a real test. but the idea and execution is great, I would rate it as 9/10.

Доброго дня. При всём уважении, но я думаю стоило добавить натяжитель цепи. А еще замечу, что дрель очень сильно напрягается в момент, когда рубятся деревяшки. Мне кажется после интенсивной работы мотор перегреется. Все таки для таких работ нужен хороший крутящий момент.
