@@amidave2153 Namaskar Amiji. Shubh Dipawali. I wish you all the best in your journey of learning Sanskrut, it is a wonderful quest. My connection with Saunskrut probably began in my previous human lives and in this life has continued for over 50 years now. One cannot grasp the depths of Saunskrut in one life time. Some minor comments to what you have written. There is no concept of a "word" in Saunskrut. Word is a modern English term. Saunskrut originated with "sound", AUM obviously being the Pranava or primal sound. This is also why for millennia it was transmitted orally and not written down. Only oral transmission captures the sound, written text does not. Even the pronunciation can alter the meaning. The first sounds emerged from the Damru of Mahadeva. These are called Maheshwara Sutrani. Maharishi Panini took the base of the Maheshwar Sutrani, and then arranged them in his Ashtadhyayi. This is what we today refer to as the Varnamala or Saunskrut grammar. The "sound" Purusha first appears in the Hrugveda Samhita in the Purushasuktam. In this suktam, Purusha is a reference to THE cosmic being. This is who we today devotedly personify and worship as Shiva. Hrugveda, as you may know, is "probably" the oldest of the Saunskrut texts. Chronologically Ramayan and Mahabharat happened later and this is where the "sound" Purushartha appears. The suktam is the baseline theory and artha is the meaning or explanation of that theory. Instead of interpreting it as man's quest for attaining material wealth and material desire, which has nothing to do with Shiva or Purusha, rather reorient your thoughts that it is finding the true meaning of the path that leads you to Shiva or Purusha, which is through Dharma. 🙏
You have explained so well and this will definitely change the outlook towards our Itihasa. I hope we will able to see truth though made up stories come forward. Thank you Nileshji!
There are metaphors and symbolism - ways to express the bad, worse, and the absolute worst happened. If we're sensitive to understand the layers of meaning, we're all set to understand and learn from the epics - because, there certainly are learning points - of how to be, how not to be..what to choose and what not to choose - in Dharma. Choosing dharma over adharma.

@NileshOak ji, I would like to read and interpret the Ramayan & Mahabharat from original Sanskrit text. However I find myself lacking the required Sanskrit language skill. May I request you to guide me where do I start and what is the optimal path to that level of Sanskrit knowledge. This question may have been asked before, and you may have traversed this path, hence the question Thank you in advance.💐🙏
Many things mentioned in Mahabharat and Ramayan were literally figure of speech. Down the generations since this is thousands of years old, people have simply taken these figure of speech literally. For example- 1. Hanuman lifting mountain 2. Krishna lifting mountain 3. Hanuman gulping up sun in childhood.
That is your opinion not fact. fact is it's mentioned in the itihasa (this is how it happened) in history book Mahabharata 5000 years ago. our opinions if are against facts then those opinions and arguemtns are wasted. we will never know the truth as observable fact from the past. maybe there is god and he is omnipotent to incarnate and do all these. if he is not omnipotent then he is not god. according to these book there is god and he is omnipotent. logic only has 2 options in this situation either give up and accept the textual evidence as truth or skip these unsolvable questions as mysteries and move ahead.

Both Kunti and Gandhari were very stron women, I don't think they would have allowed such humiliation of Draupadi, secondly the excuses given for inaction by Bhishma, Dronacharya, Vidur, etc are very feeble..
I remember it was something like it was her female nature protected her.. miracles can’t be taken seriously right.. like SriKrishna can’t lift the mountain, it must be like he became “protector of the area” by merging with Narayana consciousness(enlightened) on top of that mountain.. that too single pinky finger???… so what i read indicates something bloody floor from her PMS must have happened.. & no body can touch her in that state..
You need to cut the repetition of the point. Listeners who are plugged in, on such a subject are already of higher IQ, we don't need one idea to be presented in 3-4 angles . dissection of the scene is required but repetition of it 3-4 times gives it sense of soap opera scenes, where the story is stretched just to prolong it, suffice it into several episodes.
What is the point of all this? BR Chopra’s Mahabharata is for mass audience so many of the events were dramatized for entertainment purpose. Vastraharan did take place, but not as dramatic or sensational as we have seen on TV or film. That is all.
What do you think stopped Dusshasana and made him sit down? ↓ Bro, there is no response for what didn't happen. 🌝 I think this interpolation is made to justify the death of the character of Karna _also called Vhrisha.
I have C. Rajagopalachari's short english translated version of Mahabharat and it says "Prathikami" and he is also described as Duryodhana's charioteer, which can make sense because charioteers can always be present in the court where their masters are present so that they can be ready to obey their master's command at any time to set out to travel in the chariot.
Sir, u have immense knowledge, but here let us analyse the other way, yudishtar don't want war with anybody and he was ready to forego his kingdom, and here u pls note he is with tatva guna, and lord Krishna says when he comes for mediation that if yudishtara gets angry no fighting is necessary just his anger will kill anybody, and secondly yudishtar was not a gambler as said, he dont know how to play dice, several tv serials and pictures portrayed yudishtar like that. Further yudishtar was great of all others almost equal to bhishma or vidhur in knowledge.
Even if it did, what's the problem? There were bad people and mistakes made in all yugas. Why trying to rewrite everything to show some kind of perfection in ithihasa. After all it's a human story of human history. Why be bothered trying to revise itihhasa? People are denying Sita's agnipariksha too so that they can defend Ram as perfect. But why? Why should an avatar be perfect or why should these stories about their lives be perfect? Avatars after all have a human form which is an epitome of imperfection. Shri Ram came as a human being to experience the trials and tribulations of human life with its foibles. If he needed to be perfect, he neednt have had a human life and could have taken a disembodied Vishnu avatar.
It seems that to show the devinity of lord Krishna, this apisode might have been inserted later because King yudhisthir was not a foolish. When he himself was defeated in gambling and became das slave how he can wet draupadi? Any way every war on this earth was faught for woman booty or land.
