I don't think the rationale for putting Buttigieg on the ticket is to secure the gay vote. At least it should be that he is the only democrat to ever get a standing ovation on a Fox News town hall. From what I can tell, he's on Fox a lot and from the clips I've seen, more than holds his own. He's intelligent and able to articulate the truth convincingly and do so in a hostile environment like Fox. No other democrat can do that. And frankly, they need to stop focusing on individual swing states and focus on what can pay big dividends - focusing on Hailey voters. I don't think the rationale for putting Buttigieg on the ticket is to secure the gay vote. At least it should be that he is the only democrat to ever get a standing ovation on a Fox News town hall. From what I can tell, he's on Fox a lot and from the clips I've seen, more than holds his own. He's intelligent and able to articulate the truth convincingly and do so in a hostile environment like Fox. No other democrat can do that. And frankly, they need to stop focusing on individual swing states and focus on what can pay big dividends - focusing on Hailey voters. There's enough of them in multiple states that will change the dynamic of the race in those states. Harris shouldn't even bother to try and pull them in. She should be getting the dems excited and out to the polls and let Pete Buttigieg have the unenviable task of focusing on Fox News and Hailey's constituency. Together, they can't lose. Shapiro is the most likely ( going by their thinking that he can bring Pennsylvania into the fold ).

Con - Special Election in Arizona for a narrowly divided Senate.
Tim Walz - Midwest aura and persona. Progressive economic accomplishments.

No more great Walmart bargain$! No more dollar stores! They will be out outvof business....now hes promising to stip taxing SS! Yup, thats a great idea. That will only cause a huge deficit in the SS funds, which in turn will cause it to run out of money even sooner! Unfortunately , our taxes do pay for the SS fund, since Reagan ( Rep) started to tax it; we keep it healthy! Cuz the feds don't pay into it ,NOR PAY BACK THE BILLIONS THEY HAVE BORROWED FROM IT!! Our SS will be cut by 17%-25% or more. Does that fool ever think about the ramifications of his promises? I'm a senior and follow how our SS funds keep getting used! Poor management!
I have worried about the more Conservative swing states if Pete is VP, but seeing Pete crushing it on Fox News, and tonight seeing Pete get a 5 minute, loud standing ovation, Pete could be incredible and not take away a gov or senator we need. The one downside is that they were both in the same administration. Id be thrilled with Walz, Shapiro or Pete.

appeals to Independents, working class and young voters. He doesn’t have the ultra-Zionist downside that Shapiro has (we DO need to
win Arab-American votes in Michigan if we are to win the state). Also, the teachers unions have asked Kamala NOT to pick Shapiro due to his support for school vouchers. Tim Walz’s state is an outstanding example of what great things can happen when Democratic party policies are actually instituted statewide. Tom Friedman, btw, is an absolute idiot.
