I used to live in Manly - a sensational place, but so expensive now for ordinary residents because of holiday rentals. Shelly Beach is so lovely, great for snorkelling because of the clean water and a great temperature. Side note, halloumi is animal cheese, not vegan. Fun fact, Manly is 2km long.
Hey - thank you for taking the time to comment and noted on the holiday rentals. Similar to the UK with the prices in Brighton and even central London, with people coming here for holidays. Sky rockets the prices for buying and renting. Buying in central London is probs as difficult as Sydney. Rookie behaviour from me on the halomi haha - I must have lost my chain of thought on the vegetarian front! 2km - lovely stuff :) how is the boat communing into Sydney in winter, as I imagine it gets quite choppy?
@@gazwrighttravel I live in Mosman now (closer to the the city and if I worked in the city the commute via ferry is about 12 minutes and protected in the harbour). When I was in Manly, and worked in the city, the commute was amazing 90% of the time, even in Winter, but on choppy days it could be dodgy, cancelled only once, and terrible with a hangover (only once). We used to have a family yacht that we'd park up in Manly and moor near the what and row in to get pizza and cocktails. It's a great lifestyle in this city (if you can afford it).
@@dichallis4135 very nice very nice! The efficiency of the boat was amazing when we went. I can't believe only one has been cancelled, thats a crazy low number.
