People have different opinion on this iconic car. For me I love everything on it, the looks and performance is amazing. I don't know why they discontinue the production of this car.
WOw, wasnt expecting an old toyota fan to pay much to the Fj, Its a great car, I always wanted an fj40 but compromised on an fj cruiser. Very happy i did, and the blokes right, it outperforms day after day in comfort.
I'm a recent FJ Cruiser owner and have been watching tons of videos on UA-cam about them.My favorite by far are made in Australia. You aussies really have your stuff together. I'd love to visit one day, and maybe rent an FJ and go overland. Maybe there could be an exchange program.
I’m a proud owner of a 1975 FJ40. My parents bought it brand new off the Toyota lot in Indio, CA. They drive it for 11 years and then parked/stored it in the garage for 31 years till I started restoring it back in 2011. I finally got it on the road in 2017 and it’s my daily driver that runs great every day.
love the toyota vehicles , the best vehicle i loved to work with an enjoyed it so i found when i did a weeks worth of work experience in victoria an would be more then happy to work on them anytime
I picked up a Sun Fusion yellow 2007 FJ with 139k miles on it last week. Runs as strong and quiet as when it left the plant! Some rust on the frame I have to deal with but not a show stopper!
I told my best friend in 2013 that they stop making the FJ cruisers and she told me they didn’t now I have proof that they have. Sad to see it leave. (Still to this day I do not remember telling her they stopped production or where I heard it from)
Very cool video... I have a 98' 4runner Limited, pretty much love everything about it... but... always wanted a FJ55, simply my fav... (can't afford one though, lol...)... Thx, Moses...
Great video, but sad. I love all the FJ/HJ/BJs... Legends. I know it's all down to politics, but I sure Toyota is up to something about the FT-4X.. I hope it's good!
I think he said it was the 12H-T. Edit: that was in the HJ61. When it came to the 78 series part, I couldn't tell which engine code he was referring to.
If only they came out with turbo diesel, or with a live front axle it would've probably been the best selling vehicles in Australia. Think they look pretty quirky
the yanks managed to get a turbo diesel manual somehow but its just the 3lt d4d out of a hilux not sure what gear box its paired with but has got me thinking maybe a conversion wouldnt be to hard
Anyone interested in 1988 Toyota landcruiser White lightning ,one owner, parked in garage most of the time. Clocked only 197,000KM . In tip top condition. any offers considered.
Toyota UK are doing funny things atm, theyve stopped selling the Landcruiser v8 diesel, and the new Hilux is only available with the 2.4 engine, making it the least powerful truck here :(
Hj47 dictates it has the 2h in the troopy hj45 is the h motor when talking diesels, 70 series came out in 84 not 75. Im convinced old mate is by far not the most knowledgeable landcruiser man in Aust. Give me a shout next time you want genuine Landcruiser knowledge and history. Technically the fj cruiser should have been called a gj cruiser going off its engine code.
symmetry08 Most car parts are made from China or Mexico. Next time you look at your engine or question your mechanic. You'll see even a Ford or Chevy don't come from American companies. Japanese just make better cars. Toyota is one of the best. And always will be
I never liked the FJC. Bad sight lines, moderate comfort and moderate off road capability. I felt like it was trying to do too many things at once. That said, I am definitely sad to see it go. Here in North America we don't really have a lot of choice when it comes to off highway vehicles, and every time another dies it is a blow to all off roaders.
moderate comfort, moderate offroad, yeah mate stop pulling yourself. The fjc in Aus has different suspension setup tuned for australia and a better motor than the yanks got.
It's such a shame America didn't get the 70 series. Instead, we get the frumpy FJ Cruiser that had two huge blind spots. I'm American, but I shake my head on our government regulations of vehicles here.

Juan Tampocao They been back for a long time. Amazing vehicle.
it was effecting the sale of the 4 runner !!

Wow! Awesome video! Thank you very much for this!
New fj cruzer looks like me in a family photo.
200 series wagon, v8 diesel. insane comfort and 4x4 ability
I wish I could get my 81 bj 40 back. Best car I ever owned.
6:21 the mighty and much revered 12H-T

Nice video indeed.
love them
Nice stuff
No 80 or 100 series love...
He's not correct about the diesel 60 series.
In addition to the H60 and HJ61 there was also a BJ60 and possibly a BJ61.
Never been a BJ61
They left out the J80 J100 and J200
Awesome, but no 80 series :(
What engine is taking about in the 78 series which he says is the best

Im happy it didnt come out with a shitty hilux diesel. The petrol by far outperforms every single motor there.
Toyota land Cruiser the best of the best 4×4☝️👍👍👍👍💪💪💪💪🎥👍👍👍👏👏👏😁
Where’s the 80 series ?
Anyone interested in 1988 Toyota landcruiser White lightning ,one owner, parked in garage most of the time. Clocked only 197,000KM . In tip top condition. any offers considered.

Single speed t-case???🤔😳
Copying DC100 concepts is one thing but is there still a market for these vehicles with the new defender and Gwagon hitting the markets ?
Toyota land Cruiser 70 (76,78,79) 🇯🇵💪💪💪💪💪👍👍👍👍👍, 🎥👍👍👏👏👏👋👋👋👋👋👋😁

Thought the same. Diesel 40s were around long before 1979. Definitely not the most knowledgeable landcruiser man in Australia.
My dream is that they must bring back the fj40 and make it's body just like the jeep wrangler jl! But not a plagiarized one!
🚘🚘🚘👍
anyone selling a 40 or 70 series? lol export to fiji lol
No offense to fjcruiser owners...
I want one myself but it's not a landcruiser.
'78 fj40 owner.
Great watch
Toyota just bring it back...
Now they will sell like hot cakes.
รถจิ๊บ2019
the FJ cruiser is not a Land Cruiser.
I thought FJ is for America only !

This ain't 4x4 Compared to the GTA Version of this Car.

One the best looking 4wd's Toyota' has, the rest are hideous !

I LIKE IT MORE IF THEY ONLY PUT DIESEL ENGINE
Only lame people reject land cruisers and buy mahindra !
Good Bye for a Good Reason!
Matthew Schiebout must be a prius owner....
If you owned one you would understand how ridiculous your comment is.
love my 2012 FJ, a lot of modifications i added and its a sweet off road ride and daily driver. Also have my 03 Tacoma and can not kill that one too.
