Fun Fact: Table salt can indeed expire! The average time table salt needs to 'go bad' is five years, and that is because of bacteria and yeast that can grow in it, not the actual salt itself. Natural salt, however, with no additives in it, does NOT expire. So if you get natural salt without additives, it can stay good forever.
