You can fold it into two or you can cut it one at a time

Yes, if you want a four pieces skirt, and
No if you want an A-line skirt. Hope it helps?

@Blessing Ndukwu 11" is quarter of my hip measurement. I was working with a hip circumference of 44".
Hello, just downloaded this video to watch. Kindly confirm that after drafting the pattern the center back and front that was divided cut was it into two to enable you cut appropriately as it was not shown , also the waist to knee how was this gotten ,actual or using a standard measurement?
Lastly this is the best short cut pattern for skirt I have ever seen kudos!
Please can you rephrase the first question? I don't understand.
The waist to knee is usually 17" for a short person and "18 - 19" for a tall person.
Or you can take the waist to knee measurement, then subtract "2 -3"
@@ijeomafab alright I meant that after drafting the four pieces skirt how was it placed and cut into the material does it mean you used the skirt pattern to cut both back and front separately Or did u cut the paper into two differentially to cut?
@ Ruth Omoizirein yes I used the skirt pattern to cut the four panels.
I didn't divide the pattern paper.
Just add your sewing allowance on th front panels and zip allowance on the back panel. Hope that helps??

Please how do you cut 3 piece skirt .(that's those skirts that looks like A line in front just one piece ,then at the back will be two just like the back of this one in your tutorial.
@Gloria King it's also called an A line skirt.draft your pencil or straight skirt, then at the hem or bottom, extend it to make an A-line. Use same pattern for the back but add your zip allowance. Hope this helps??

How can one determine or choose fullness
@Uvz apparel what I mean is the volume of the flare (down part) or you can work with the quantity of fabric you have.
For instance, if you are working with 4yards of fabric for your skirt, your flare should be fuller than mine or someone working with 2yards of fabric. Hope it helps?
How many yards needed for this
@caddien McCall for the yard of fabric needed, you would need to work with what you have. You may decide to make it fuller or not. Secondly, it depends on the measurements (either a big or a small size person)

Ok. Please don't be confused. If you want to add a dart, it will be on the skirt waist. Just like normal pencil skirt.
