Thanks! This lesson is right on time, for me. Group I’m working with does a lot of Motown and Stax tunes, and my role is, as you said, to comp while, “staying out of the way of the rest of the band”. We have two guitars and no keyboard most of the time, so i get to, “add the spice”. It’s loads of fun!
@@StuartRyanMusic Always found it really hard to find good resources to get triads etc under my fingers in this way, really appreciate you putting these type of lessons up for free! Book is great too 🙏 only one chapter in and can understand these concepts alot better than i ever did
Is there cool video how to get a nice Stax guitar tone? For example I love how the guitar sounds like on "These arms of mine". Or the guitar on Try a little tenderness, also awesome
