At 8:30 It was a mill of course! Back in the day all saw mills, grain mills, woolen mills, etc were right on moving water so it could turn the wheels and gears and such.
Again a great video from the can am crew..!! Glued to your guys adventures..!! Your livein the dream.. so great to travel with friends an family an RIDE..!!! I've had my sxs a year now an I can't wait till I can take my first BIG TRIP...!!!
Pro r is a great machine I love mine, but with that inline 4 the center of gravity is slightly higher that most. I lowered my rear suspension down some and it helped a lot. I run the the front at 18” and the rear at 16 and it seems to be good, most of the time I’m in comfort on the shocks and disconnecting the front sway bar was huge too! Great video as always guys👍👍
My understanding of that building it was a grist mill years ago they got like 12 inches of rain in about 3hrs where u all went to where the drain pipe was was under water about 50ft the pipe stopped up and collapsed had to move all that dirt
At 33:50 your winch and snatch blocks are hooked up and someone mentioned something about if something breaks, Scott is standing with his head right about even with the cable, if it snaps it could take his head off, NEVER stand that close to the cable especially in the path it will take if it snaps.
I agree, we do use synthetic and it can still snap back but it’s not like in the old cable days. The ropes we use are much safer when they break. We’ve had them go before and not much happens. It’s like a rubber band.
It is hard to tell from the video but I am a good bit away from the winch line and definitely not in it's break path but I do agree 100% with what you are saying.
@The Can Am Crew Yeah although I know synthetic line is safer despite never using it myself, I grew up around jeeps and winches then 35 years in the oil field and I've seen what can happen and I prefer to be to careful. By the way I didn't look close enough or just didn't notice it was synthetic, was kinda worried about Scott.
Thanks, the waterfall is off of the little buckhorn trail. To the left. It’s up a little runoff ravine you can see in my video where we crossed the creek to the trail leading to the waterfall. The blue and black trails are pretty tight. The black trail we were on where the pro r wrecked was sketchy but other than that they aren’t very difficult.
Question, at 5:20 your heading down the trail with the view and is very rocky,.How is the ride quality in the X3? Is it plush or shake and bake? My back can't take the roughness any more and am looking for a new machine with a plusher ride. Thank
A can am has a very nice smooth ride. We have shock therapy springs so it makes it even nicer but Jason says the pro r is extremely plush as well. Just depends on what kind of money and riding you want to do too I guess.
I don’t see anything to gain from it other than more electronics on the cab like sensors. He says he can even watch a movie if he wanted. I think they are great machines but I think they are also best suited out west.
@@TheCanAmCrew for me just looking at the extra little bit of length, width, height, looks a lot less manageable in those conditions which is similar to mine.
Shout out to the Can Am Crew - I saw Jesse and Sheri and family in a parking lot a few weeks ago on the way to Ivy Branch and they took the time to say hello and chat with me a bit...even got some stickers (despite the fact I shared that I recently got a used Pro XP) - very friendly and much appreciated!!! I see some comments below about ground clearance and 'tippy' machines. We run more trails at moderate to high speed and will hit all the blacks but stay away from the double blacks as that isn't our riding style. I got 32's on the Pro XP and it was at 16" from skid plates to the ground. I lowered to 13-13 1/2" and it helped a lot but of course now I'm sacrificing ground clearance for handling. Just curious, what do you guys run with the 35's? Thanks!
Hey, thank you. I run 16” ground clearance with my 32s and Scott is at 17-18ish with 35s. We still run high speed stuff with no issues. We’re not racing but like to have fun haha.
@@TheCanAmCrew Thanks for the quick reply and input. I'll try one more trip then see if I want to dial it back up a bit. We still run with quads and that Commander...so I'm not really going anywhere they aren't going.
I’m no kid and ive got a 2018 X3xmrr I live in the area I have 9500 miles on it mostly mine made area we call it little Buckhorn how you break stuff and wreck there’s nothing there that bad Harlan ky ride is 10 to 1 worse than mine made run low air pressure with bead locks and you won’t break axles and tie rods ball joints
Performance wise the Rmax has machined sheave shimmed and stronger secondary spring, tuned and exhaust tip all from Weller racing. Suspension has bandit tender springs and Moorehead offset and arched a arms front and rear running 32" zillas with turner eagle level 2 upgraded axles. Also has Weller racing billet steering rack and tierods along with cage from Krash offroad.
@@timshipe6674 thanks for taking the time to respond! What do you think of the Weller tune vs stock? I’m thinking about the hunterworks exhaust tip with the Weller tune. Machine looks awesome by the way!
Definitely runs smoother and much cooler engine temps, mine is just reflashed with the high octane tune, they also have the pv3 option which allows you to change tunes
“Don’t move”
Proceeded to gas it 🤣
🤣🤣🤣
“Don’t move, we’ll get you out”…….smashes throttle. 😂😂😂
🤣🤣🤷♂️
I agree with Pete the pro R needs to take it a little slower going down those hills. You need a awning installed on the side of your trailer
Cameras don’t even come close to the reality of how steep those hills are. The R Max did awesome in this video…great job everyone
You are 100% correct. I wish someone made a camera where you could actually see what it looks like in real life haha.
The RMAX came through! 👍
Love that rmax
Those little cone shaped holes you thought were animal tracks are something called antlion pits. Cool little critters.

Great video man as always, ya think the pro r guy needs to get used to his machine so more lol 😂
Awesome work,as always
Great video, you guys could start your own recovery service, you are really good at it.

You should unhook rear sway bar, my wheels almost always stay on ground and articulation is amazing.
Looks like a bridge of sorts
Another awesome vid!!!!

Oh my, Scott is such a hunk.❤
😳😳
Awesome video, always great content. Love the recovery 👍
The guy in the pro is just a little fast on some stuff but he will get it lol
He’s learning. This pro r is still fairly new to him as well. He came from a turbo s.
Great video yall 💯👍
Thanks man. 👊🏻👊🏻
Another awesome video keep up the awesome work!

Wow that’s pretty crazy.
Looked cool. Thinking the pro r is such a capable ride straight out of the box it may be instilling a little over confidence
Sheri's always doing the good food. When are you guys back in Michigan?
She’s a great cook and she can ride lol. I’m not sure when we will be back. Hoping to get a Drummond trip in soon.

The waterfall was a grist mill long long time ago. Someone removed the old wheel that use to sit by the wall
It was really cool to see.
theres a worm in those holes....nest time take a little stick and move it around in there and youll see it move....
Interesting. Just a regular earth worm ?
@scott fatta No, I believe it's called an ant lion, it looks like a deformed crab and the cone shaped hole is a trap for ants.
@@ronbowman4145 that is awesome. I did not know that.

I already saw a couple comments but yeah the fella in the Pro R is i little over confident in his new machine lol.
He’s still learning it too. He came from a turbo s.
I noticed you flipped your shocks so the reservoir is on the outside did you have to trim the front plastic
No, on 64” machines no trimming is needed. On 72 you have to take about 2 inches off.
Do you have a video on your camper trailer build? Can we see one?
Yes we have 2 on our channel. One was when we went to river front resort in wv and another when we were at ivy branch. We did an update then.
Where did you get those snatch blocks from
A company called zombie, they have ropes, snatch blocks. All kinds of recovery gear.
Will be making a trip out in July, any pointers and what trail is the waterfall off of? Like the vids.

Ya the pro r is only 2 inches longer than the can am wheel base and it’s 2 inches wider.
how does Scott haul his size by side when he's pulling camper
His camper is a toy hauler.
