I didn't realize this was an existing song. I first heard this in the Lies of P soundtrack as an unlockable record track that takes a more orchestral theme. Look up that composition if you get the chance.

Quixotic is a real term and there is an actual story.
The word means someone who has admirable yet highly unrealistic and maybe naive goals and ambitions.
Don Quixote is a novel character who diluted himself into believing being a noble knight who needs to protect humanity, but loosing himself in a fight he can not win.
Being so dilusional he starts fighting windmills, because he sees them as monsters.
eg. Unleash the giants, loosen the horse,
fill up the seas, set the serpents alive
Define the heights, behold your sight for those windmills,
let them run again
This song is a perspective being told from his POV.
