- Hello musicians! Have you ever met someone who doesn't know how to hold their instrument without playing it? In this video, we try to raise Noodler Awareness and stop these people in their tracks! 😂
If you'd like to support me, you can do so at this link: www.paypal.me/...

As a noodler in recovery this video is highly offensive.
LOL
Omg I have this problem in class all the time! I feel your pain
Us n00dlers are people too
Wow it’s crazy to see you hear! What are the odds? I love your channel Tyler! (Yes I see the likely hood of it I’m just saying it’s kinda funny)
TYLER!!
I wish you'd made the volume louder on this video. I just can't hear you over the sound of my guitar :-)
BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!
Weeell...I happen to agree, up to a point, that it is unprofessional. (Depending how loud and physically blatant you are about it as well as the type of gig...) On a scale of 0/missing a single note at a non-paying gig to 10/not showing up without notice to a high paying gig, it's probably a 2 on the old, unprofessional scale. In the right context, I think noodling is a great time saver and very appropriate if you're in the middle of a mindless task....and I love sarcasm =P
Literally me right now
David Thorpe X 2🤣
I do believe she's very professionnal
I dont want to seem insensitive to people who legitimately need to “fidget.” My main point is that you will not get hired and play professionally if you fidget with your instrument. Practices run so much more efficiently, middle school band rooms can be a peaceful place instead of a headache-guaranteed jungle...people respect each other more. It’s just something to consider that you may not have thought about before. I know my tone comes off as over-the-top...but if I can help a few people to be cognizant about this, I think it will have been time well-spent.
Aimee Nolte Music alot of people don't want to get hired of play professionally though, and noodling does have a place while talking because it allows you to improve dexterity if you play small melodies while talking because if you can play while talking you can play better while concentrating, I believe it's rude if it hinders the conversation flow but if you stop when you have to talk about something more serious or as long as you don't noodle on stage, I am half way between Noodler and not personally, I noodle but not if it's on stage or if we're talking about something important as I just said. But anyway I don't think you were insensitive in anyway though I don't see a need for you to apologize to everyone
Aimee Nolte Music You're absolutely right, Aimee. Obviously, people who have a professional interest in music usually understand musician etiquette, but I play casually with friends, open mics, etc and there's always someone oblivious to the world around them and will just start playing/singing something that has nothing to do with what's going on in the moment. It derails everything and the person doesn't even notice. It would be like firefighters going to put out a fire and then the driver suddenly turns the wrong way and starts telling the guys that this is the neighborhood they grew up in and there's the old house..
No need to explain yourself. People that don't understand how to be an effective part of a group effort have no business in music.
Completely agree with your points, Aimee. Whether you're playing professionally, or in a weekend cover band, it's pretty rude for someone to be noodling away while the other people are trying to work out some problem areas of a song. Especially if the noodling is loud enough to interrupt the conversation, or in some cases, prevent the conversation.Even worse is the person who has to noodle away between every song during a gig. I've seen that before on a few occasions. Not only very unprofessional but very irritating. Have some respect for your bandmates.
Aimee Nolte Music every time I saw an interview with Al Stewart and Ron White Ron White always had a guitar in his hand and was trying to play it
Same goes with Jerry Garcia, he was quite the noodler and did pretty well for himself musically at the end of the day.
Can I hold it in silence? 😂 love your personality. New supporter musical lady
🙌🏼🙏🏼
I am so guilty. My wife almost divorced me over this! Thank God for Noodler's Anonymous, it saved my life!
kidsguitar3 lol nice
I am one of those noodlers! but it is just because I love to play!
I' ll try hard not to.
kidsguitar3 hahahha so true
Strange. My wife loves a good noodling.
Kieren Moore yes, many of us have a good idea. How has she been?
I hate it when people keep talking while I'm noodling!
Noodling is healthy. It's the fidget spinner of musicians.
Crutches can be helpful, but sooner or later you are going to want to stand on your own.
Noodling is like wetting the bed. Its feels good at the time, but pretty soon it stinks and you have to do something about it. ;)
Fidget spinners are not healthy ;-). We live in a culture of divided attention, and this kind of behaviour simply reinforces it. It leads to being more easily distracted when holding your instrument as well. Focus is the new black.
+Thanos Psaridis That is the best description of noodling I've ever heard.
Your mom is the fidget spinner of musicians!
A R E Y O U G U Y S P R A C T I C I N G ?
Beep lingling 40 hrs
There is not a problem with noodling. The problem comes in when you are noodling at the wrong times. We became musicians bc we love to play. that will include noodling at times. We play gigs that are basically noodle gigs lol. Rule of thumb:If your noodling is a distraction...you should stop.
JP Music and Tech agreed, you should noodle to have some fun
How many songs started life as a humble noodle
About 40yrs ago I was in my 20s playing with an older R&B group in their 60s. I got yelled at on stage by the leader "QUIT FIDDLE F**king on stage. That was the last time I noodled. It's a lot more professional when people don't noodle.
+David Friedman lol
What's that Aimee? Can't hear you over all this sick noodling I'm doing.
Is it OK that I noodled while watching this video?
+Michael McCatty Michael...nobody needs to know that. 😂😂😂Sorry I had to
lol
Michael McCatty
NO!!!
Cut the crap.
You're not special.
You're annoying.
Damn...I am brought to near tears by this video. Noodlers came to this country with a dream Aimée. I will not rest until noodlers and non-noodlers can learn to co-exist in perfect harmony. There must be a better way...
"Well, guys, I have bad news. The vet says my loving Sparky has only a short time left and I should put him down soon to end his pain, but I just don't think I... I... I... TYRONE WOULD YOU PLEASE PUT THOSE FRIGGIN' DRUM STICKS DOWN.
Now there's a new problem: iNoodling - you know, checking out Facebook, texting, etc.
Amen
Just stumbled upon your channel while trying to brush up on beat making, and I found usefulness in your video`s for my voice as-well. You seem like a great teacher and person. If I had money I`d hire ya but for now I`ll just support your video`s!
Noodling, showing up late all the time and playing TOO LOUD, the holy trinity of bad musician behaviour. Thanks for the videos, Aimee, keep 'em coming!
This chick is that substitute teacher you get for a week in junior high who thinks shes gonna change the whole system in a week
Have you watched any of my 250+ videos...or just this gimmicky one? Give me a shot, and maybe you’ll be a fan of this chick.
The best is when your rock band is paying for practice space time and your a-hole guitarist has to crank his amp all the way up and then noodles between songs when you're trying to talk to the band, then gets all offended and throws a hissy fit when you tell him it's annoying. Every. Damn. Time.
this is the worst
Time To fire your guitar player and find one that can act like a professional. Doesn't matter how great they are once the count-in starts. Being a musician goes way beyond the ability to operate an instrument.
Guitar attracts a lot of wannabe rock stars, unfortunately.
its the opposite for me, i'll be trying to get my tone right with the amp at the rehearsal space and turning the knobs on my pedals, and the bassist and drummer will always start jamming some random jazz or blues beats, totally disturbing my hearing while i try to get the right tone.
It’s always the guitar players! Good thing guitar players are a dime a dozen, you can find one underneath just about any rock.
I want to share with you all a very funny anecdote. Some years ago there was a very big latinamerican folklore festival in my country. In a city called Salto. The organization hired a bus for part of the musicians that went to the festival. There were guys from my country, from Argentina, Chile, Boliva and Perù. It was so exiting to share music and so many things! It was like a latinamerican brotherhood... BUT... There was a fellow, that was peruvian, and played in the same band with me (we played traditional music from many countries) that was "noodling" with his charango (small string instrument) DURING THE SIX HRS TRIP IN THE BUS!!!!
It was so horrible (even though he was a very good player)! The rest of the musicians began to protest, then cry, and then they want to throw him away!!! And he was undounted!!! It was like a torture!!! Some said : now I`m gonna hate peruvian music!!! And when we arrive to Salto, and people in charge were assigning the rooms in a kind of hotel (this is another story...)... they put me and the guy TOGHETHER in the same ROOM!!!
That night we performed, then we had dinner toghether and went late to sleep. Then in the morning I was deeply asleep and suddenly was awaken by the CHARANGO!!! The guy was playing loudly over my head at 7.00 a.m!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That`s my story, I hope I have contributed with a grain of sand in the fight against noodlerism...
Daniel Irilarry oh my gosh that's a great story. 😂 Horrible! 7:00am?!! Who was this guy? Lol Thanks for sharing. That made me laugh.
Ha ha! I laugh now, but it was terrible. His name is Edgar (I don`t remember his last name). He lives in Europe now.
Such a noodler!!! The worst I`ve ever met!!!
I`m glad it made you laugh!
I have so many weird and funny stories!
Aimee Nolte Music Awesome story! I will try to lessen my noodlerism from now on (guitarist) :-D
Daniel Irilarry, you should have "Animal Housed" his instrument immediately.
Vintin Crows - When the Animal House movie was made, that move was called "El Kabong" after the cartoon character (anybody remember "Quick-Draw McGraw?) by Hanna - Barbera.
I'm old, you're young.... We used to just say..... Shut Up.... in a loud voice... Very effective... saves a lot of energy... The bad habit is not saying Shut up. That's the bad habit.
Lol I’ll remember that
when your dad plays guitar while everyone else is watching a movie
+Wes oh nooooo. Lolol
he has over 40 guitars and plays them all the time even when others are talking to him. By far the worst noodler.
He's actively spending quality time with his instruments while you passively intake the products of multimillion corporations.
Go dad?
Wes no. Not at all. Turn off the movie. It's hard at first, but eventually you'll appreciate it.
As a guitarist I have been guilty of this as well ( unfortunately, I think it's innate for guitarists to do this) life got much better when I learned that I could stop usually and listen.
Imagine singing in choirs of noodling singers!
From the perspective of an MD and just a musician in general, noodling is annoying and very distracting - particularly in rehearsal, especially when I'm trying to go over something with another member of the band. "Noodling" not only makes it hard to hear each other, it can also make it very hard to concentrate when speaking. Nothing I hate more than a musician (especially drummers) who continue to play when the band has stopped. Just my two cents. Right on Aimee! We should have enough self control to sit at or hold our instruments without making a sound. Oh - and people loooooove to show off so maybe that's why they do it... I can't stand showboats either LOL. Thanks for your input and advice!!
Good thing you mentioned the comment was "from the perspective of an MD and just a musician in general"; I doubt anyone could have understood the points you made, (simple though they were) without being aware of your degree.
Greg Vinson MD meaning music director
Vocalists are no better! "Dah dah dah dum dum dum dah dum da dum doo doo lah lah LAH!" And I'm guilty of it myself-- a vocal noodler, LOL!
417 NOODLERS got triggered
MrVatov Guarantee you all 417 of them are guitar players.
This is a total gas! Loved it. Thanks for performing a valuable public service, Aimee. :)
This video is so good, I shared it on Twitter and watched it again. That's when I noticed how nicely you made fun of bass players with your guitar in the intro. :)

Reminds me of what Miles Davis said to John Coltrane when he was taking really long solos, and Miles wanted him to tighten up. Trane said “I don’t know; I just can’t stop- I have too many ideas!” Miles said- “Take the horn outcher mouth.”
Adding my comment to make it a thousand 😀 but seriously I need to set up my PayPal account so I can support my newly found favorite teacher. You have a wonderful attitude and I'm going to stick with you. Much love from Kenya ☺
Thanks so much, Douglas 😍🙏🏼
Oh, god - how embarrassing ... guilty guitarist, here. I had no idea this was annoying to anyone - I thought no one noticed! Next you're going to tell me that no one enjoys my farts, either, aren't you? I will stop both practices; I promise.
BTW - just speaking my own self - it's not about showing off or practicing (except when I've totally forgotten a part and need to recall it ASAP), it's just plain fidgeting. It's the exact same thing as when someone absent-mindedly flips a pen around his fingers or keeps tossing a ball in the air.
This right here^
Oh whoa let’s not get crazy, quit noodling but farting that’s just taking it too far.
It is the noodling between songs on stage....drives me nuts!
Deanna Knight On stage! Whoever is doing that needs to be fired ASAP.
I try not to noodle while people are talking, really I do, but they just won't shut the hell up.
Finally there is a place to discuss this troubling subject! Now I know that I am not alone. Thank you Aimee.
🙌🏼🙌🏼
I hate when folks noodle the melody before we start that song for real.
+Tony Lombardo right?! They give it away!!
Spoiler alert!
That's just as bad as the singer who has to announce every song before you play it. STOP IT! I want it to be a surprise!.I used to play with a guy who'd play opening (and very recognizable) guitar riffs to songs we didn't play as a band. So he'd get the crowd all fired up to hear a song, only for the rest of us to have to say "sorry, we don't know that one". I'd want to strangle him every time he did that.
I prefer singers to announce the song because drummers and lead guitarists have a moment to remember the song!
Tony Lombardo I hate that as well.
Hey, Aimee!
Just found your channel and I love it! Fell like I'm back in the concervatorium.
So much I could applaud on you channel, but I thin I'll start with noodlers. I am working in the studio quite a lot
and to have noodlers around when tryin to write and record is a nightmare.
Yup, I'll join the movement. Let's stop 'em!
Love, peace and good happiness stuff from Norway!
Oh yes! How much great music does NOT get played because the noodlers of the world won’t stop! Thank you!
I will never stop noodling.
I am NOT a noodle er (I never knew it had an official name but it sure is obnoxious) I learned about this when I was 8 in the school band. Instruments (other than the sousaphone) had to be in your lap while not playing, otherwise we ran laps (the band leader was also the track coach)...
+Ken Leiboff awesome!!!
Thank you Aimee, I just noticed how annoying I can be in the band I play in. Your video was really an eye opener, and it will help me recover.
The problem I'm having is that the volume button seems to always be too close from my hand.
😏🙌🏼
The worst is in a Rock band when you are trying to work out some intricate detail with the guitarist, and the drummer starts banging away, really loud, then that look when you look at them. Drummers need to learn music theory too so they don't get bored with the discussion.
Amen
It might be simpler, and probably healthier, if folks simply got more comfortable with boredom. Stillness is a worthy practice in its own right!
In my experience it’s been mostly guitarist that have no theory background. They are literally the most lost in the sauce of all the bandmembers, and a dime a dozen.
How was I so late to the game on this channel? This is great, Aimee. Thanks!
we're just makin spaghetti dawg chill!
I love it! Ive been asking my husband & music partner to stop this habit for years. I thought it was just because of my wife-voice. He just happened to be here in the room while this is playing. He said "I get it I get it" We'll see. If he wasnt such a is a monster player...
Lolol tread lightly!
It's a form of fidgeting.
Admittedly, one with better sound quality than, say, incessantly fidgeting with a ballpoint pen, but you're right - it can still be annoying.
I think it's also, sometimes at least, a mark of a mental multi-tasker. Someone who can be working on a musical plane, while still paying attention to other things, like conversation. Of course, a lot of times, this isn't the case.
I don't noodle, myself - not musically, that is. But I guess I'm a mathematical noodler.
You won't know that if I don't tell you, because there *are* no outward signs of it. But I can be carrying on a conversation, while factoring a number mentally.
Or any of certain other mathematical tasks.
Or not; it doesn't always happen.
But I think noodlers come in various forms, not all musical. So just be thankful you've never been in the presence of a jack-hammer operator who's a noodler. Now *that* could be *really* annoying!
I just want to noodle in peace
There is nothing wrong with noodling as long as one does it quietly and in the privacy of one's own room.
+Tim Byrne that's not a noodler. That's a practicer! :)
I need to play this video for my 5th grade beginning band students. :) It's gold!
Now THERE’s my target demographic!! 🙌🏼
We can't sit still! We just can't!
Two weeks ago I 'coached' 9 young people (round about 15) within a school project. They formed a band and we tried some Souljazz Tunes. The project was only for one morning (4 hours), so it was like a suicide mission anyway. Most of them had a master degree in noodling. One moment I really needed everyone's attention and I said: "Please stop that now." They stopped ... for 30 seconds. When the noodling came up again, i said the first thing, that came to my mind, which was:"You gotta stop that now or we will be in the newspaper tomorrow." That worked ... only for a couple of minutes ... but it worked.
Great videos Aimee! Greetings from Philip, Frankfurt
+wibson murder!!! Lol ahhhhh
I am showing this video to my student ensemble! I tell them all the time and they don't stop until I give the look! They need to see that this really should end and it's not a cool thing! ( I calmly held my instrument without playing while watching this haha)
+Jose Carrasquillo 🙌🏼please do lol
Spoofer
Both hilarious and true. I agree with you. It's not just about being more present to our fellow bandmates. Being still and quiet (relative to our usual busyness), with or without our instrument, is about loving and honoring the silence from and in which all music is played and experienced. If we are constantly distracting ourselves with our instruments, or with anything else, we miss the opportunity to experience what we are actually feeling in the moment--subtle, not so subtle, pleasant, not so pleasant--and with that the depth of beingness itself. Thoughts, sounds, and all other phenomena come and go and yet what remains--a simple aware presence, the core of who we are, an unfathomable sense of peace and spaciousness into which music resolves.
its a comfort blanket. If a non musican comes over I may have a tough time talking. then I'll just rest the guitar on me, play 8 notes then stop a sec. All of a suden a whole conversation comes out of me.
It is very surprising how many young guitar players have Attention Deficit Disorder. Also, there is a strong correlation between Guitar/Drums and Narcissism.
THANK YOU!!! I cannot tell you about HOW MANY noodlers we've fired without telling them that's why...
I don't mean to tell you how to do your job, but how do you expect them to change their behaviour if you don't tell them what they're doing wrong? Communicate.
I love this Aimee! Thank you! :P
Oh. As in professionals. Yeah. That probably is annoying and distracting. If you have a job or gig you should probably warm up and practice at the appropriate time...Or just be quiet for a minute.
As an amateur nobody is counting on any kind of musical situation. I will continue noodling. My regular playing doesn't sound much better. I thought you were telling me, the type of person who thinks they are a musician but really isn't to stop.
That is right. 😏
lol
Great message. Nothing looks more unprofessional than to watch musicians between sets noodle.
The best music teaching person I have ever listen in my life!
Oh my gosh! This is a real eye-opener! I never realized I was a noodler! I'm gonna do better now. I promise!
🙌🏼🙏🏼😍
Damn I'm a total noodler...
Daniel Guevara You’re fired
Okay, I was too blind to it, and wasn''t really taking heed... until that little edit where you said it in your 'demon-esque' voice. THEN; it just riffled through me deeply... and I got it now. Sometimes the truth does hurt - but for the long-run - I'm glad we had this little talk...
+Todd Jetter 😂😂😘
I actually USED to have this problem too...I've actually designated at least ONE night a week to NOT touch my guitar/piano/keyboard/bass etc....and turn on Spotify/iTunes whatever and just LISTEN to others peoples music, and appreciate it for what it is. I choose a certain artist or band and listen to their best, and not so best stuff to learn from. Not trying to learn HOW to play it, just listen to it and learn WHAT makes it such a great song and where are the little things that are in it that would maybe, just maybe make ME better too.
+DeFHoez love ot
you sure DO capitalize a LOT of WORDS
I guess you could say he's a CAPITALIST. lol
see being a trumpet player taught me not to noodle, because the trumpet is so loud that you'll get the director death glare every, single, time.
Most real people today don't have attention spans, patience, or communication skills. It's not just some musicians. A theory I've heard going around that may explain this phenomenon is that it is because of our smart phones and how everyone is constantly distracting themselves with the world at their fingertips or in their pocket.
I hate the term "world at your fingertips" because you make it sound like teens actually do worthwhile things on their phones
Like I’m doing right now - lol!
If you believe the "smartphones = short attention spans" BS, then you haven't lived long enough.
ErebosGR I learned about the effects of heavy technology use and this theory in one of my college courses addressing child and adolescent health issues.
I’m not saying that iPhones are the only way to a short attention span. The issues with too much “screen time” are still being studied. First it was the television, then the personal computer and now the smartphone which can be used all the time anywhere. Things are just moving too quickly into our hands for people to realize the damage that is being done. I’m no exception to the rule. My cell phone almost never leaves my side and is a major attention killer. It’s addicting and it can be very damaging to our health long term.
Musicians have been noodling forever. Smartphones have only been around for a couple years. They've got nothing to do with it.
I lead a jazz quartet with great bandmates--three music majors, two from Berklee. We're all geezers, chronologically speaking. I recently had a heart to heart convo about some observations I had. I said, "We do three things on the bandstand. We soundcheck. We play. We are silent. If I come up and ask you which of those three things you are doing, it will be because I can't figure out which one it is at that moment."
These great, kick-ass players who thrill me every gig looked a little sheepish and didn't protest. They are doing better. They know the three ironclad categories of existence on our bandstand.
ahahaha I ll use this video with my Noodler-students!!! hahahaha
Please do! It’s a PSA!! Lol
Ah Aimee' s vids always makes my day.
+Jay Ayers thank you, Jay!
Couldn't really hear you over my pentatonic noodling but I'm sure it was informative. :-)
Holy shit I can't believe you just called me out like that
I agree very much! And i am a noodler. But.... maybe as a piano player you have guitar player noodler envy? Ha! Guitar players are notorious for noodling it's too easy to do, you pick it up and start noodling. However there's a time and place for noodling and if you should be paying attention to something or someone else instead well that would be rude and indicate a lack of social skills. But for some reason guitar players (mostly) give themselves a license to do this. So I have modified my behavior in regard to this matter and support the Noodler Awareness Campaign. Cheers from Adelaide, South Australia where the flag is now flying.
When you said "in the shadows" I really thought you were saying "in the showers" at first lol
I suppose the next thing you're going tell me is to stop doing drugs :)
Haha you are right, shunning noodling is shunning creativity and self expression.
Kids, noodling is a gateway drug. It's starts slowly. At first, you're waking up in the morning and noodling a bit just to stave off the shakes. Next thing you know, you're playing _the_ _licc_ for 5 hours straight.
i enjoyed this!! thanks for the laughs and truth

I like this quite a lot! Good job on this song! I guess every drummer I've known is a noodle too!!
My pet peeve is also guitar players that leave "no note untouched"!
i call it unprofessional that's all.

Aimee Nolte. Excellent at piano...bad at guitar.
Pierre Kelly lolol Pierre! I tried my hardest to be bad. lol I promise!
Thank you for identifying and calling out this pernicious habit.
Point taken. Thanks. Funny video by the way.
+Reggie Bellamy thanks Reggie!
This is true when you play in a band you have to weave in-between to noodle effectively... Noodling is a great way to write... some of us ain't band players and are happy to work outside of bands and wedding gigs
+Tim Scott Noodling when you are alone is entirely different than playing while someone else is talking. I’m all for noodling on your own! :-)
Learning to be totally quiet between tunes at a gig is another one and particularly not play the first note/chord of the next tune is another haha :-)
ahah very funny! guitarist are the worst
Marco Oselini right?! Lolol
Aimee Nolte expecially when they mess around with pedalboars & amps at high volume! The second emendament his our friend!
Even worse, MUCH worse, than a noodler, is a person who somehow feels compelled to spell incorrectly.
Why is it always the guitarists?! I was in a military style Marching band as a kid. We got yelled at if we noodled. A lot of our players come from drum Corp or the Army, so we're pretty good at silence. Except for the guitarists! ;) (Sorry guys.)
Just saw the video wanted to write the same as I am guilty...confessing I am a guitarist.
Noodlers are people too. And, yes, we HAVE to play. Now, back to my guitar.
Inge Thorin Eidsæther And you will be unemployed
The irony is that you have to listen to be a musician. How can you claim to be a musician if you can't even listen to someone else talk?
the ultimate noodler is that guy at the party who plays guitar when no one asked him to play
This is so petty probably don’t have a passion for music
Sergio Y.T lol
We also have to teach kids to put down their phones when having a conversation. Back on topic, noodles are extremely annoying during rehearsal when someone wants to DISCUSS something about what the band just played.
Disrespectful and mucho irritating!!
keelanp53 Agree, she is.
I had a friend that did two annoying things. During a gig between songs he would practice the chord changes to the next song thus giving away what we were about to do and the second thing was when we recorded ourselves during rehearsals when we would listen back he would play a guitar solo over the recorded tape rather than focus on what needed to be improved. I think alot of this stems from a short attention span and being restless. But yes Ive also been guilty of doing this on my bass when I rehearsed with a hip hop band also. Your point is well taken Aimee!!
I know a noodler !! Very irritating ..good point you make ... it will cost you your gig ... I think noodling is a nervous release and a bad habit
Aimee, you are SO right. I'm the rhythm guitarist in an 18-piece swing orchestra. I practice at least 4 to 6 hours a day, every day, so when I show up for band rehearsal, I simply sit quietly in my chair awaiting the band leader's command. Yet, it seems that nearly everyone else is, as you say, noodling. I'm sitting there, looking around, wondering, "Don't you people practice at home? Now's not the time for practicing your scales, arpeggios, etc." Yes, it's frustrating. I can even see the frustration on our band leader's face.
+Blind Jack Cotton you’re awesome. I’m sure your director appreciates you
Awe, you're so sweet. Thanks.
I had to watch the video twice 'cause my guitar licks won't practice itself
I was in a music improvising workshop- and some people were noodling (practizing) around, oh that makes me crazy...noodlers start to listen to other people, thanks for that video, Aimee.
How do you get a guitarist to slow down? Put sheet music in front of them.
I played solo guitar at a wedding gig recently and I was really nervous since it was my first gig since March. So I was sitting by myself practicing with my volume off just trying to keep my hands warmed up. Is thia unprofessional?
peace sign and a gorgeous smile..so cool coming from you, thanks so much.....
have you ever heard over the phone? 'put that bloody guitar down'
Amen to that, Aimee!
Yoooo Aimee just went in on noodlers lmao. My beloved guitar teacher would scold us like a stern parent for noodling.
This doesn't just apply to the jazz world. Where there's a guitarist, or just anybody who has that habit, noodles will be heard.
Noodle no more! Huzzah!
+Galant Baptiste 😂🙌🏼
