Can I get a pro analysis on why the hell DSG sucks. Like in general, I’m tryna support these guys but it’s like almost everything they do they’re bad at.
They’re a rookie budget team going up against teams that have been together for years Also they were a top team in valorant sea but had to pull out They also won nacl in 2023
The team that won NACL in 2023 got most of their team poached by LCS teams (I think 4 of the 5 players got promoted). This is a new roster with a new coach. It looked like their individual skill was fine but their team macro was not great. Chemistry takes time to build and they were going up against a team that has been together for longer than disguised has.
@ Do we have any insight as to how things are done for the development of these teams? Forgive me cuz I have no idea how things exactly work for an esports team but do we have any insight into how DSG develops their teams? I'm getting the impression all DSG does is wiping the old team and then getting a new one. I'm sure that I am missing something here.
@@DrDandyyy The wiping out the old and in come the new all really comes down to contracts. What's been happening usually is that DSG players get poached by bigger orgs and bigger contracts, and Toast is actually super nice in letting the players decide on what's best for them as he keeps them and himself realistic as to what he can pay and afford. Toast has said that he doesn't want to be known as an org that jails someone with their contract like so many orgs in the past, so players are pretty free to come and go. However this leads to hard times because DSG usually has great or high potential players individually, but the key is developing their teamwork and chemistry which is what DSG usually struggles with.
They lack basic macro and the drafting is just bad (noway you play support elise without diving/aggresive play and poke comp playing and all in style not pick 1 style) the teamfight is just a bunch of solo queue lost of thought about their own role for example with the attakhan fight, they play poke comp yet they rushing obj without clearing vision and not using their comp properly) the logical way to play the poke comp is you stall the obj while poking the enemy when they get in the choken position then look for a teamfight first to secure the obj, not rushing it with 3 champ already low tanking the attakhan damage. If you watch Los Ratones this silly mistake is often discuss and you will have a slight idea about understanding team comp and macro plays
