    Puedo utilizar el tx interfacer junto con un simulador de cabina o ya no es necesario el simulador???

    • @GoodwoodAudio
      @GoodwoodAudio  2 роки тому

      yes, you'd still want to use an amp simulator with Interfacer. You can put it before OR after Interfacers output section. Totally up to you and what works better for your rig!

    So I really love the thought of this, but will this interfere with the way the input buffers wind up operating if I go to the passive in and then through a bunch of effects before the buffer?

    • @GoodwoodAudio
      @GoodwoodAudio  3 місяці тому

      Typically you'd only go through effects that don't want to see a buffer anyway... So the trade-off is another foot or 2 of cable (negligible) or running into a buffer sensitive pedal first (not good). Great question though - but to be clear, it's really not a big deal at all in the context of the problem you're trying to solve.

  • @andreastimothypanggabean8975

    Hi, i have a question. Is it possible to do everything (stereo rig to mono) and wet/dry or wet/dry/wet with just the Output? Or those can only be done only with the Interfacer?

    • @GoodwoodAudio
      @GoodwoodAudio  Рік тому

      Output doesn't give you the dry out .. so no, you can't do it all with output. Interfacer can get you close, but isn't really designed for an all in one solution - you'd still have to do some re-patching. The WDW Box (a custom junction on our website) is designed for this specifically, but comes at a higher price point as it's a custom build.

    whats the defference between tx, ac, bass version? can i use the ac version for bass guitar?

    • @GoodwoodAudio
      @GoodwoodAudio  5 місяців тому +1

      specs wise yes... The signal flow is just different on all of them. AC Is really about switching the input (between elec and acoustic) AND the outputs (between AC out and Elec out)
      Bass is all about running clean bass in parallel with overdrive / fuzz / mod effects
      TX is really about buffering, muting and stereo guitar effects with isolation and polarity inversion.
      They all have their use cases, but you can use them for different instruments as well!

    I have a powered mixer I use for my keyboard rig.. it has no audio out , no headphone jack to send to the mains.. can one of these be use for that ?? The only output is the two speaker outputs that carry 500 watts..

    • @GoodwoodAudio
      @GoodwoodAudio  Рік тому +1

      Unfortunately not. These aren't designed with that in mind.

      @GoodwoodAudio ok. Thanks.. I thought all mixers had a line out of some type, but I was wrong.. I guess it will be a practice mixer and I'll have to get a different one for playing live.. thanks for clearing that up for me..

    I have a shure wireless guitar system that i wanted to know if i can plug it into the passive input, but also plug in another wired guitar to the buffered input just in case my wireless goes down during a show.
    I also wanted to make a rig that can use my captor cab M to send a mix to the FOH via one of the outs and another out that goes to an amplifier if i want to use it.
    I was about to buy the empress stereo buffer but its currently discontinued. That buffer would be able to do everything I wanted it for. Saw the interfacer and was hoping that it can achieve the two things listed above. Can the interfacer do these two things?

    • @GoodwoodAudio
      @GoodwoodAudio  4 роки тому

      Hey Andre. Great questions. What I would do here...
      1. Plug output of wireless into passive OUT (the inside edge of interfacer), send a jumper lead from passive IN to Buffered IN, then buffered out to your effects. If your wireless ever dies, un-plug the jumper to buffered IN and plug your guitar lead in there... signal will then carry on to your effects. The other thing we often do is build a simple passive box that re-routes signal as soon as a cable is plugged in (your hard-wired lead as an example). But either of these approaches will work.
      2. You could switch your Interfacer to Split Sum (internal DIP switches). Plug in from your last pedal (mono) into the Left Input on Interfacer. Then you can send Right Out to an Amp and Left out to the Captor. That should work great.
      Let me know if this makes sense and if you have any more questions.

    Ok. Here is my head scratcher for today. How do I use the effects loop on both amps in the wet dry diagram?

    • @GoodwoodAudio
      @GoodwoodAudio  2 роки тому

      using dual FX loops is definitely doable BUT opens you up to a whole host of ground loop / phase issues. Let's talk about those first. If you are running TWO Sends to amp inputs, FX sends (from both amps) and FX returns (to both amps) and you get a ground loop, you need to isolate 3 points (Send to input, FX send and FX return) on one amp. That's 3x audio transformers instead of one. Doable, but expensive / complex. We've done this with a custom junction a few times, but none of our standalone products will allow this. Happy to chat it through with you. When we implement this we also make sure you can run traditional mono, Stereo, Dual Mono and wet dry with with without FX loops if that's what you need. feel free to email - info@goodwoodaudio.com

    Okay so I want to split signal after my drive pedals (fuzz-tuner-drives-split) to go to 1 amp (DRY) then go through all the modulation pedals (mod-reverb-looper-buffer) to go to 1 amp (WET). I have no knowledge how to go about it. All pedals are being used MONO. Which Goodwood Audio product should I purchase to split my pedals as well as connect to both my amps? Sorry but I'm new to the two-amp rig community and would like to know more....

      Hey Leander. It sounds look you could benefit from Isolator which I think you have mentioned in another video...just going through comments now and will add more detail in my next reply if needed!

    Would this work well if I want to run my UA Audio Ruby and Dream in stereo to a mixer or audio interface or should I be looking for a line isolator?

      If my question doesn’t make sense, it’s because I’m new to guitar.

      @GoodwoodAudio  8 місяців тому +1

      Depends what you're after. LongLine (a different one of our products) is designed with amp and cab sims (Dream and Ruby) in mind. That one allows you to send balanced XLR or 1/4" to a desk / mixer!

      @@GoodwoodAudioSo, I’m thinking I’ll plug the guitar into my Interfacer, to my dry pedals, then wet, then Interfacer. From the outs of the interface to my Dream and Ruby, then to the LongLine to my mixer….. I don’t know what I’m doing 😂

    Question. If I am running a wet/dry rig while using the send/return of my amp, is this something that the TX Interfacer can handle? If not, is there another Goodwood product that can do that?

    • @GoodwoodAudio
      @GoodwoodAudio  2 роки тому +1

      depends how you're doing this. I'd need to see a full signal chain to see if this could work, but there are ways the interfacer can do this, yes. Feel free to send me your signal chain / how you're currently running this and I can walk you through it! info@goodwoodaudio.com

    Can we run the passive outputs as send return with the amp?

    • @GoodwoodAudio
      @GoodwoodAudio  2 роки тому +1

      Do you mean the passive input / output on TX Interfacer? If so, you technically could, but you'd need some custom insert cables to do it. Might not be worth the effort / expense. Would be a lot simpler to just get our Audition pedal (specifically designed for that purpose).

  • @oleksandrk4853

    Sorry for a stupid question, so you can have kinda the same result with interfacer as with Mistermind switcher or you still need left and right mixer?

    • @GoodwoodAudio
      @GoodwoodAudio  4 роки тому +2

      Not stupid at all! There is some overlap for sure. The PBC series can sum your signal, mute, the PBC10 can isolate as well however the summing on the 10 is a permanent split sum, if you run any pedals after you can't use the ground lift on the 10 (the 6x doesn't have ground lift), the 10 doesn't have a tuner out, and easily accessing the output on the 10 / 6 to go to your amps is difficult if your board is full... Basically, there isn't an easy way to access all features, however, RJM has done an incredible job with their feature list and in some scenarios, I would recommend just sticking with the PBC series and not getting an Interfacer, in other scenarios, I think adding the Interfacer could be beneficial! Hope that helps a bit!
