Sir we started on Dec 24th and came back by 29th
One pointer - try to take Karwar - yellapur route instead of via Dharwad
If you take the other route, which is via Dharwad - North Goa, you will become very tired in the last 170kms. Full of potholes, speed breakers, take diversions, toll plaza and hairpin bends

Only Rs. 9 is different between petrol and diesel, but diesel engines may give good mileage but not suitable for local use like petrol.
