8 ଏକର ଜମିରେ ଭୁବନେଶ୍ୱର ମନ୍ଦିର ସହରରେ ପ୍ରତିଷ୍ଠିତ ଆଞ୍ଚଳିକ ବିଜ୍ଞାନ କେନ୍ଦ୍ର 18 ସେପ୍ଟେମ୍ବର, 1989 ରେ ଦେଶ ପାଇଁ ଉତ୍ସର୍ଗ କରାଯାଇଥିଲା। ନ୍ୟାସନାଲ କାଉନସିଲ୍ ଅଫ୍ ସାଇନ୍ସ ମ୍ୟୁଜିୟମ ନେଟୱାର୍କ ଅଧୀନରେ ଥିବା 26 ଟି ବିଜ୍ଞାନ କେନ୍ଦ୍ର / ବିଜ୍ଞାନ ସଂଗ୍ରହାଳୟ ମଧ୍ୟରୁ ଏହି କେନ୍ଦ୍ର ଅନ୍ୟତମ,
ପ୍ରଦର୍ଶନୀ, 3D Showଏବଂ ଶିକ୍ଷାଗତ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟକ୍ରମ ମାଧ୍ୟମରେ ବିଭିନ୍ନ ବର୍ଗର ଲୋକ, ବିଶେଷ କରି ଛାତ୍ର, ଓଡିଶା ରାଜ୍ୟରେ ବଜ୍ଞାନିକ ସ୍ୱଭାବ ବୃଦ୍ଧି ଏବଂ ବିଜ୍ଞାନ ଏବଂ ପ୍ରଯୁକ୍ତିବିଦ୍ୟାକୁ ଲୋକପ୍ରିୟ କରିବା ପାଇଁ କେନ୍ଦ୍ର ଲକ୍ଷ୍ୟ ରଖିଛି। ବର୍ତ୍ତମାନ, ତିନୋଟି ଗ୍ୟାଲେରୀ ଅଛି |

Regional Science Centre, established in the temple city of Bhubaneswar on 8 acres of land, was dedicated to the nation on 18th September, 1989. This Centre is one of the 26 science centres/science museums under the network of National Council of Science Museums, an autonomous council under the Ministry of Culture, Govt. of India.
The Centre aims at inculcating scientific temper and popularizing science & technology amongst people of all walks of life, students in particular,in the state of Odisha through exhibits, exhibitions, special shows and educational programmes. At present, there are three galleries. They are :
