Something these templates are missing is the customization. It's a template, not a free game. I'd like for these to include guides to creating your own weapons and lessons to animate too.
very true! I do agree with you. To add your own weapons either get a free model or make your own. Once you have finished gettting it publish your game to roblox (still private) and then if you made your own gun then publish the gun. If you get a free model from the toolbox then thats ok too. Then find the gun your importing and import it. When you try it will say "would you like to add this is starter player?" select yes and then gun will be imported. For animations I have no clue :) hope this helps
to put more weapons, simply just copy n paste one of those 2 guns ( the long one you can shoot all the time when holdind the mouse button, the mini one just shoot 1 laser per click) change the mesh, sound and effect without even doing an single line of code! ( if needed just copy n paste the sound id on an script it really depends how the script is made )
@@KobraArab you can change that in the tool as well (you should copy and past both the viewmodel and the tool) just go into starterpack and click on the properties of the blaster and find the dmg attribute

Its 1st person only, but you disable first person by clicking on StarterPlayer and in the properties there should be CameraMode and change it to classic
find the weapon viewmodels in replicated storage and blasters, then (you can take out the viewmodels if you want to see what your doing and into workspace, just make sure to add them back later) go into the blaster model in each of the 2 blasters, all the parts of the guns are there and recolorable
@@rayfact8868 Yes, I might be blind but I am looking in both BlasterController and Blaster (The one in ServerScriptService) and I can change all of those expect for damage as for some reason the attribute is just set to "damage" so if I made it a number then both the guns would deal the same damage. Edit: ohhhhhhh you were talking about those attributes, I found them

what i don't like about these templates is the inability to add more weapons and the fact you cant exactly aim down the sights

i managed to add a glock to the game but it is very barebones, like the slide doesn't go back when you shoot etc
As a cs2 and tf2 player, i dont care about aiming down sights, unless its a sniper

It sucks that you cant change the damage of one weapon without effecting the other from what I've seen
You can actually if you go to the weapon attributes, you can change range recoil ext.
