Peter, this was magnificent content and I totally appreciate the effort. I wish we have this type of setup in Singapore as it would do incredible service to the watch community. I learnt so much!
Peter, love all your videos. Maybe invest in a Sony vlogging camera and 2 dji wireless microphones. Your content is excellent and it won’t cost much to up the video and audio quality. You rock!
@@Peterpic that’s excellent Peter. I’m sure you are finding it amazing how much time it takes to do the video side and do your “regular” job as well. I used to watch that other channel, but I find your uploads way more interesting and very informative. No disrespect to them.
Peter, at 24:26 you could see a little ding that was unfilled. Was that on purpose or was it missed? Thanks *EDIT* right before you put your thumb over it
There was roughly a 2mm wide dent there, this required a massive amount of infill.. this was actually the part of the video that wasn’t supposed to make it😂 I have dozens of clips that go into videos. Took me about 5 seconds to lap it and polish it out small divet was taken care of
I have to ask, did you notice the mark on the side of the daytona case at the end of the video when you were showing it? looks like you tried to rub it. I am I wrong about this?
Yes, I couldn’t see it with the naked eye as you can see in the video I noticed it under the macro lens once I got them wiped down after picking them up. Tiny divet, quick lap and buff and poof it’s gone it was a huge dent in there!

A watch can only be polished 4 times in its lifetime. I think this is an OVER statement unless your watch is completely trashed with dings and scratches
I think he's 100% on point, you have to remember when done correctly 4 times is a lot, when done incorrectly and you grind out a ding you just removed so much material that your lugs are almost gone haha
@Peterpic a professional will not try to remove dings. Polishing should be limited to returning shine and luster in addition to removing light blemishes. No need to remove metal, dings and deep scratches should be either laser welded or left alone.

How would you recommend getting into being a welder? I’m considering it and don’t know where to start. UTI?
You can do it through an institute i did it through my job

Do you restore stretched jubilee bracelets?? (Change the pins)
I do yes depends on the bracelet starting point though, if it needs laser fill and tons of extra work it’s not worth it labor cost is crazy

Kind of cheesy Rolex hollow out the gold inside that case I never knew that I thought it was solid!😩

Essentially yes! You can do the same by hand machine is much easier
