It sure was fun! Too bad the F59 they planned on bringing had problems and couldn't come this year. But there is always next year, and NKP 765 always beats that! Thanks for watching!
I was there too. I was the locomotive engineer who laced up (jumper cables and air hoses) the various railroad freight engines, air brake tested them with my yard foreman, brought down the consist from the east end of Bensenville Yard and then tied the whole thing down with handbrakes on each unit. I was concerned we'd not have enough room between the street crossings to keep the gates in the up position. But, it all fit rather nicely in the end!
6:46 top kek that's the old metropolitan rail logo and the intermodal train at 6:00, if any engineer did that I'd refer to it as "Pulling a Franklin Park"
Awesome video! Can't believe that 765 was there!
Thanks, and 765 is running 'The Varsity' from Chicago to Janesville and back today!
+AmtrakFan221 Cool
I was there! It was a fun day. I'm going next year, too. Hopefully they can get an F59 on display.
