@@TrialBySquireAn easy way to get 3+ good strength is to pick herbs with the leg day perk and Skalitz has plenty of them. Making the fights required for this exploit alot easier.
@MrSeekerOfPeace That's fair! Definitely a reliable method that doesn't risk reputation. I, personally, find leg day a lot of work for payoff, overall. It certainly works although I'd rather fight tournament in Rattay. However, if we're talking Skalitz... You can get to level 3 or 4 strength, without numbskull, just from vanyek training. That last part where you do chain strikes- get him loosely in the corner and then spam stab for like 3+minutes (without using any movement inputs). If you can keep the stabbing up it all counts as only 1 chain strike completed. He will eventually time you out but it's a very nice starting bump that won't get you in trouble. @@Ausf that's a really fascinating question! I will test it, for sure. I fear it won't matter any more than removing the tack beforehand did but since it's a different tack slot and is adding to instead of emptying a slot, I suppose there's a chance. Definitely worth a try since, theoretically, that would mean a double shoe bonus (the invisible one from olena and the physical one added to the new horse). That opens the door to horse armor double buffs as well so it'd be sweet if it worked out. I'll replace her plain saddle with a noble one as well in hopes that the loss is reduced from that slot.
@@TrialBySquire I'm not sure when the buff is applied from tack, but if it's before you even get the horse, it might be possible to mod their tack, or change the stats of the horse you want. Either way, it's great that you can have any horse you can ride, including horses you didn't have access to, even with Cheat mod. I don't have the game installed to test, but it would be great if you could have Capon's horse, and then you could presumably have a caparison without the mane sticking out. I know there's a mod that removes all manes, but I prefer normal horses to have them.
I just finished a test. For convenience, I just used what I had easy access to. Before reaching Talmberg I equipped olena with noble saddle (4 bags), Calvary bridle, and travel horseshoes. This should have reduced the saddle debuff to only -1 speed and the travel shoes would give a percentage boost to speed (olena was at 38 speed before turning in, up from 30). This produced no change to Jenda after the cutscene. Bummer. Still 35 speed with no tack applied (also no tack transferred to jendas inventory). It was a cool theory and I'm glad you brought it up. This was done on Xbox and I used no mods. I would think on PC there's probably a file somewhere that details olena's tack. In that case, it may be possible to give olena no saddle and military horseshoes (could do bridles and armor but those reduce speed). In that instance, I'd be interested to see if the buff/debuffs are consistent with the new tack or the original.
@@TrialBySquire Thanks for testing. I don't know how to create mods myself, but I have seen mods that alter horse stats, so I definitely think it should be possible to give Olena shoes, or remove the saddle. Either way, very good find that you can get any horse at all that you can ride.

I have a ton to learn about DaVinci but I felt pretty good about this first release. Thank you for asking! How's your KCD 2 hype going? Taking all the news in or avoiding spoilers?
@@TrialBySquire sure you can have fun, I think this method suck though. I lockpicked every chest in Skalitz had level 5 or 6 lockpicking, left Talmberg with a ton of loot, put it into the Inn chest, and in Rattay stole every armor from the Merchant and sold it back to him after a few days. that's way more profitable, while also leveling up lockpicking, can then steal a horse ride to a Stable and buy one or just do the Hunting Quest with Hans to get a free horse anyway.
I have to agree. This is a rather weird way of playing the game. It breaks immersion and negates any sense in playing any further once you are in Rattay. The whole point of the game is to see Henry grow from a piss-poor villager to a wealthy fighter. What's the point if you simply side-step that completely. The whole thing gets boring after 4 quests if you already have everything.
I mean, I'm 40... I'm 2k hours in and have done all sorts of hardcore and ultra hardcore challenge runs. I've been God in Skalitz and also beaten the game with a bludgeon without wearing armor.
