Hi Mal, things are coming along real nice. I was thinking about your IBC tanks, and it would be a good idea if you get black IBC covers for the tanks,otherwise, you will get a lot of algae build up in the tanks. I have a 3 barrel tower system and found out the hard way when we first built the tower, we had the barrels exposed to the sun, and boy did the green stuff grow. We ended up changing out our white barrels for blue ones and covered the whole tower in a black tarp. Solved that issue. We cut the old white barrels in half, and I turned them in to raised beds . Good point Julie do they sell such things as ibc covers? Never thought about that but did notice some greening on the inside when swilling the out at home with the hose pit before dropping them off at the plot. Will do a bit of googling later. Have a lovely day 🙏😊👍

£15 each what a steal Ali got them in the van quick sticks before he changed his mind 🤣 Will take a look at that Ali but can’t drop gutter at back too low if it’s raining and windy rain may miss the gutter? Hi Mal, I hope the storm wasn’t too destructive, it brought down a couple of roof tiles here, but not too bad otherwise. Those woodchips look great, they really help with marking out the paths and stopping them becoming a sea of mud don’t they😅!
Yes Izzy escape with just a couple of panes out of one of the greenhouses so count myself lucky really. Hope the roof tiles are not too costly to repair. Yes paths luck great when first done😊 Keep safe I here we have another storm on the way but not as bad as the last 🥴 Have a good week 🙏😊👍
Blimey Mal, when you swung the camera round, for a split second I thought you’d torched the shed! Nothing looks so good on a plot as newly chipped paths! So tempted to do mine, but if the move happens, that’s a lot of effort for nothing! Someone is going to inherit a very neat plot at some point. Well done for leaving it so tidy, so many people walk away and leave a nightmare for the next plotter!

The new woodchip really makes the beds stand out mate. Great price on the IBC tanks, did the cages come with them as well ? Shame about the measurements on the height of the new bit, but as you say, its no biggie running the guttering around to a water barrel but can you not put the IBC behind where you are now going to put a barrel ( behind the 2 bits of stone ) ?. You can use the wood ash on your plot in winter, especially where you want to grow brassicas, for its potassium content.
