  • To prevent the addition of new rows when pressing the tab key in a fixed-structure Microsoft Word form, follow these steps:
    1. Make sure the Developer tab is displayed. If not, go to File ~ Word Options ~ Popular, and check the box for "Show Developer tab in the Ribbon".
    2. Place text entry points where users should type by clicking and then selecting either the Plain Text content control or the Rich Text content control on the Developer tab.
    3. Ensure that all content controls are in place.
    4. Select the entire table containing the form.
    5. Click the Group button on the Developer ribbon and choose Group from the menu.
    6. Save your document.
Now, when you press the tab key, it should not add a new row after reaching the end of the table, maintaining the fixed structure of the Word form.
