- The HP Zbook 15 G2 supports the 2260 size M.2 SSD.
If getting a 2260 size M.2 SSD is as difficult as it is with us (Hungary), how to use a 2280 size M.2 SSD instead. (Sorry for the grammatical errors :-) )
(A HP Zbook 15 G2 a 2260-as méretű M.2 SSD-t támogatja. Ha a 2260-as M.2 SSD beszerzése nehéz, mint nálunk (Magyarországon), akkor hogyan használhatjuk helyette a 2280-as méretű M.2 SSD-t. ) - Розваги
Can we put HP Z turbo drive in that slot? I think that slot is for msata ssd. You have used m2 ssd.
can you tell us what m2 ssd did you use and the link to buy as well? Thanks in advance.
The type of ssd is shown at the end of the video. (from about 3:37 a.m.) This is a factory SSD from a Lenovo laptop, which maybe a problem booting from it. I also tried a loaned Samsung 960 evo 250gb, it worked with it, but I didn't try to boot.
HP Zbook 15 G2 use M2 SATA SSD, with form factor 2260. You were using M2 NVME, maybe that's the cause of it
What is size of M2 ssd....means how much gb zbook 15 g2 can support ...kindly guide me i want to buy m2
the normal size is 2260 up to 512g i think! but it is a headache to find this part anywhere now i wonder if it supports 2230
hey! did you succeed booting from it
Unfortunately not. Looks like this type of SSD doesn't support booting.
@@senkinevem4884 if you check the zbook 15 G2 manual.. zbook only supports 256 PCIe SSD.. i think that's why... i'm also looking for a succesful install as i need to ugprade my zbook.
@@taksiobs Podrías enviarme el link donde se indica las capacidades que soporta este equipo? Thanks
dosn't work for me, it doesn't recognize
Sad to see!
Is it will work?
Yes, it has been running continuously since the video was made, but you can't boot from it.
@@senkinevem4884 Can I install windows on it and is it will work on hp zbook 15 G2 with 2080 m2?
Are you serious? The problem is, I think you are ... It's sad that you are teaching newbies bad habits! I know the 2260 is a little more expensive, because it's not so commonly available, but there ARE other ways around this, e.g. a 2242 with an adapter is just one example.
