Thanks to the PA , ANC and EFF thugs who ousted her very unfairly in a Motion of No Confidence and stopped our City's best chance of progress, dead in its tracks!!
The irony is that she is more capable than all of them put together!! Just look at JHB now!

It's so sad that those who left Da joined politics for the first time. Da trained them to be where they are. Instead of leaving peacefully they still blame Da. The problem is that they all wanted to be president's of their own parties.

Mpho is very brave I must say, I am happy she chose her children’s well being at the end. SA political landscape is not ready for the non conventional politicians let alone young women…

If Mpho was the leader of the DA, the party would win by 35% in the 2024 elections. It is unfortunate that the DA is a democracy internally and she lost internally. However, Mpho could have won the black middle class and youth vote externally. Now, DA internal politics have, once again, deprived the DA of a significant position in South African politics.
I don know how the DA can redeem themselves with the majority in South Africa with their current leader. Yes, they will get the white vote, but that is just a bucket in the river.
If the DA can manage an internal coup and put Mpho, they would win the external majority vote.

It's not only about colour anymore, and I firmly believe that the good Dr will win the DA Leadership race next time around!!
She may even become SA's first female President, just like she was JHB's very first female Mayor!! ( and a very good one too!)
Only the DA is honest enough ( Clean Audits), skilled enough and experienced enough ( with a 15 year track record of good governance) to fix our broken country and make it work again for all South Africans!!
Our country will not survive another five years of more of the same and even worse, as our country's finances and infrastructure deteriorate even more rapidly!!
Having watched Mac G's Podcast with John Steenhuisen on UA-cam, JS is far more relatable than the mainstream media likes to show!!
      ( read the comments)
We need to stop voting purely along racial lines!!
As Mandela and the Springboks have shown us, we are much stronger as a nation and get much better results when we work together!!

@@tonitappous2422 , South Africans still remember their oppressor like apartheid was yesterday. I know most white people are not racist, bit the rest of South Africa would not vote for a white person, yet. And I don think white people born in South Africa , are making an effort to be part of the rest of South Africa. There is no single leader in the DA, other than Chris papas, that speaks at least one of the 9 native languages. This, to us, means colonial mentality. Remember during colonization and apartheid, the white people forced black people to speak English and Dutch, but they never learned any native language. That was their white supremacy mentality. Yes they can give excuses, but you would be surprised when they go to France and learn franch in their first year of stay. This tells you that they don wanna be South Africans -- they want to be Europeans in South Africa.
Learning a people's language, is to learn of a people: you learn their culture, their way of thinking, their view of life. It's all in a language. Die to Chris knowing the Zulu language, not only can he speak to the entire country using a single language, but he can understand the entire country and the entire country can understand him.
I understand English people coz I learnt their language, but until they learn a native South African language, they won't understand me.
We cannot force white people to be part of us, but we can hope one day, their children will. Unfortunately, infill that time comes, it will be difficult for them to be part of our structures in the country.

@@W.GlobalAffairs But the DA never had anything to do with apartheid !!
The DA was only formed in the year 2000, during SA's democracy!
The predecessor political party to the DA called the Progressive Party, was in fact the Official Opposition to the Apartheid Government and fought against apartheid in Parliament for many years!! ( Helen Suzman)
We are all South Africans and we all want the same things - an honest and capable government that can fix our broken country and make it work again and a growing economy that will uplift millions of people out of poverty and into lives of dignity and prosperity!!
Identity politics is outdated and no longer even desirable, considering the very serious crisis our country is in!!

@@tonitappous2422 , it's not about whether they were there in apartheid or not, it is how they behave. And, yes, some of them were there during apartheid. But it's not about apartheid really, it's about what a white person symbolises in South Africa as yet. I don think white people did much to change this perspective about them. Most of them are still arrogant and telling natives to forget and move on. We will never forget and that means we will keep remembering and going to the museum's and honouring the holidays on the days people died for our freedom. We will keep building monuments and naming prominent structures with their names so that we never forget.
I want you to know that this is not about you personally, it's just how we feel. you seem like a good person and I love you for it. Us natives, we are loving people and we embrace everyone. It is unfortunate that sometimes people come with their own agendas. Again, I love you lots as my fellow South African and we can do a lot of we work together. The ANC has to go coz they are corrupt and can't even get the basics right.
Have you heard of some Europeans demanding to separate western cape from South Africa? Well, that just confirms to all of us that change in white people is still not yet. We will never give a part of our country to any other, it will never happen. In order to do that, you need two thirds majority in parliament and a veto from six provinces in the NCOP. That is on top of going through a referendum with the people of the western cape, which is all of us from all corners of South Africa.

I respect mpho for not betraying Da and realizing that what pushed her out was powers and jeoulosy that were surrounding her. Some left the Da long time ago but they are still talking bad about the Da. Leave the party peacefully you are a leader in your party now that's what you wanted. It's they are still regretting why they left Da and now they want sympathy.

They are talking badly about it because it is a racist gutter party that wants to use the black vote you get into power. They are tone deaf on the racist dynamics in this country and because of that they will never be a governing party. Stop making it seem as if the talks by detracters aren’t valid

Mphos mom was crazy. Her strictness led her to be being naughty a d it leads to rebellion always. 4 am wake up for what? To sit in the dark ? No thats madness, sorry Mpho your mother was abusive and its not necessary to raise a child in such a way to make them successful. Often its just them repeating what their parents did and the cycle of violence and authoritarianism continues.
