What's odd is that second TV spot is very close to the theatrical trailer I saw back in 1989 yet the "offical theatrical trailer" on UA-cam (and all DVDs) is nothing like it.
Little fun fact, they filmed more of him unmasked but it was going to be for the flash back scene in part 6 when you see the man in blacks face and then they show michael in part 5 and you see it's the same person. Man in black was to originally have been his twin brother and been released in 1990 or 1991
@@michealclark928 Yeah, Don shanks has talked about it. ua-cam.com/video/zOq5iuf-krk/v-deo.html 11:17 mark they start talking about the man in black and don mentions the man in black being his twin brother. There are other interviews that mention the flashback scene I will look for
And the "they're ready!". Well, I guess the police were ready but they certainly were not prepared. Most ill-thought out plan of all time! They made Meeker look so inept in this movie.
My cousin and some friends and I got kicked out of this movie just as it was starting cause we didn't have adult supervision. We weren't acting up, they just kick our asses right out
When the movie came out, they had a 1-800 hotline you could call to "save Michael's next victim". It's printed right on the newspaper ad for the movie which I saved and still have to this day. I think it was to save Dr. Loomis considering Donald wasn't planning on doing any more of them at the time....
Mine too. Halloween 4 is one of the best sequels ever made. Halloween 5 was a little over the place with the story and they killed Rachel and Tina off which pissed me off but overall a lot better than the crappy H6, Resurrection, remakes and H3 😎
Man the movie was so bad. I can't believe I thought this was a good legit Halloween movie when it came out in 1989 I saw this on opening night and alot of people in the theatre really had a really hard time trying to sit through this movie. Its one of those movies that even when you know it's a horrible movie you still end up watching it.
They really made it look good, if I was in 89 I'd definitely go see it
I was 7 years old and very excited to see it.
the "roar" sound effect kills me

Halloween 5 is came out October 13th,1989!
Black Friday the 13th. The same day AOC was born.
They kinda suckered us with the Michael Myers “Unmasked” part.

0:24 That shouldn't have been cut out from the movie.
I think it should have been. Seeing her whimper like that would have been more indignifying than it already is.
Dustin Martin Far from it, actually😁

Parts 4 & 5 the reason Jamie and Rachel are my FAVORITE characters of the franchise, including Danielle Harris in the Rob Zombie films.
Mine too.
All these guys with guns, this time they're...
Never mind, he killed them all.
Love this movie 5 and 4 are my favorites
Get your parents permission before you call what?
Tracey Searcy probably to call to order tickets or something.

It's because it's too scary, too gore-y, and too violent for kids under 18

Batman came out 6-7 months before this movie

No it wasn't. It's was tense and pretty cool. Your taste in movies is bad kid.
@@scottylewis8124 No it was a trash movie. This move single handedly caused the franchise to dip.

I think this movie is good.
23BitChris your trash too

part 4 was overrated and part 5 was underrated imo
The theme song alone is the best even the mask made it more menacing. I don’t understand the hate over the mask either.
