The thing is not the present schedule. The kids and Coach don’t schedule the competition. They’ve defeated every in conference team on the field of play the past three seasons. There are many veterans and some pretty good players on this team. They play well together. Obviously they play hard and are disciplined. The disciplined, play ethic, and teamwork components are cultural and developmental. They’re well coached. Not many penalties on these team’s.

We at Oklahoma tried to say this from the beginning. Grinch had these exact problems at OU. I dont know how he stuck around this long. Now Oklahoma has this guy Jeff Lebby that I think needs to go. We'll see what Venables does.

Connor Stallion wasn't fired he resigned, he submitted his letter of resignation through his Attorney and fuhur added he would not be answering any questions for any internal or external investigation, NCAA ,B10, nada.

Neither Jim Harbaugh or Michigan is going to accede to the demands of the lynch mob, without due process or proof that Harbaugh was involved in anyway. The bottom is see the B10 in court if they attempt to suspend Harbaugh with no due process to appease the mob.
Except PSU is not a good football team, but they are ranked high so the Michigan OSU winner have a ranked team under their belt.

I dont think Kevin Warren, previous B10 commish, will give Harbaugh the control he desperately wants.
Credit to AD Jen and Pres Folt who pulled the trigger on Grinch. Hopefully, Pete/Norm is the example of the future Trojan OFF/DC duo. AD Jen must help with hiring a new DC to ensure it. Appreciate the RJ ranking.
I am not a USC fan but I agree that this was a good decision.

Your point about Texas being ranked at 7 with Murphy or top 4 with Ewers is a bit murky. What??? It's a ranking. Player's performances on teams make the rankings what they are. Is it the name on the front or the back? Texas isn't nearly as good overall with Murphy at this stage in his young career. No arguments please. It's just not an argument. Spoken by a Texas fan. With Ewers - likely a top 4 team. Without him, maybe 11 or 12. Texas is there because of what they did with Ewers. Malik is learning and growing, but he's not there yet, just not. Hook 'em.

RJ the one problem with helmets with one way communications is it can be monitored and recorded by intercepting the signals. If anyone thinks you can't do it, I can go to any electronics store and build a pocket size scanner for digital and frequencies in the am/fm range . Yes headsets would be better but they are even easier since no one would notice if they saw someone wearing an earbud or hearing aide. If you are wondering I earned a degree in electronics (specifically computer technology) and a decade in the army with a communications mos ( radio to satellite transmissions)at Fort Gordon before joining artillery.

You can’t argue against FSU pulling away from Duke in the 4th to win by 18 as a negative when Washington was in dog fights with Arizona and ASU the whole game. Haha plus, you can’t make it up the whole BC game is no longer being brought up…because since BC changed QBs they are now 6-3. That game is looking a lot better now that Castleanos is the starter.

Your rankings are just as bad RJ, Michigan played nobody, you rank them 1, then you trash everybody else for their weak schedule.
People need to quit looking at the surface. Alex Grinch didn’t hang on this long cause Lincoln Riley didn’t want a better DC. It’s cause a better DC isn’t going to a Lincoln Riley team. Lincoln’s approved Strength/Conditioning and lack of physical practice are the real problem. No self respecting DC is going to go to a program guaranteed to see them fail.

@@jumper555 what needs to be explained? Grinch staying with Riley wasn’t about running a gimmicky defense focused on TO’s and momentum plays. Good DC’s really care about how their guys prep for games. Lincoln Riley teams are soft and those DC’s will have a serious practice philosophy schism. Most top notch DC’s will be not gamble their careers because the HC doesn’t want to get down in the mud. Most of the DC’s mentioned make 7 figures already with lower state taxes and less likely for the local media to lampoon your future career nationally.
@@npierce14 Good DC’s will want full contact practices, Riley doesn’t like to do this much. It’s a driving reason why media isn’t allowed at practice. Any proper DC will want a NFL level S&C coach like Scott Cochran or Jerry Schmidt who’s going to push them to their mental limits every week. Go watch film of Oklahoma with Jerry Schmidt as the S&C (now or pre 2018) and Bernie Wiley (2018-2021). You can see a difference in size, conditioning, and overall levels of consistent physicality.
@@AAblade7 I understand the point you are trying to make BUT that does not explain what every former USC defensive player, or even what Joel Klatt sees.
It does not explain players in the wrong position, open gaps, confused players, and consistent bad situational defensive plays.
A few analysts said USC does better defending a 4 & 1 than they do defending a 3rd and 15.
Anyways...it's over. We will see how the DC will play out.

if you watched the game, the play calls were there. they jus weren’t executing it and shedeur is banged up and his play is regressing.
Can't argue with the top 25. purely rational even if I personally think some of those teams don't pass the eye test.
The BIG10 should quietly "ask"(tell) Michigan to voluntarily disqualify themselves from the BIG10 title game and from a bowl game. A lot of those kids are going to the NFL and will be fine. The ones coming back can put it behind them.
Next year Colorado has to still deal with Utah and will pick up some new BIG12 opponents but let's be honest that won't be anything like their conference slate this year. Colorado will be ok. USC, UCLA, Texas, Oklahoma, Oregon, Washington? Are they more likely or less likely than Colorado to make the CFP? Is Colorado more likely to be top 2 in the BIG12 than Texas is to be top 3 or even 4 in the SEC? Oregon in the BIG10?

As a Duck fan, I like where Oregon is ranked. As a college football fan I feel like Texas and Bama should be ranked before Oregon.
Texas and Bama haven’t been as dominate as Oregon. Oregon is definitely the best 1 loss team in the country
@kjwolfgramm I would agree from an eye test standpoint. But thus far, the best win for Oregon is over an injury ridden Utah. Texas beat Bama and a good Kansas team. Bama has wins over Mississippi, Tennessee and just recently LSU. I'd also agree that Oregon looks like the best one loss team at the moment, yet the SOS would point to Texas or Bama. I mean, I guess Oregon has the best loss of the three?

USC literally started by playing the worst teams in the FBS, then bottom of PAC, and when they crossed the midway point, they started hitting mid-level. So what should anyone expect? Yep, the best numbers in the beginning that start trending downward as the season goes on. Play calling didn't get worse. Opponents got better.
Riley played in a conference, before USC, full of bad teams except the top 2 or 3 that were significantly better than the rest. Riley never beat those 2 or 3 actual good teams. Not once.
Riley has weird rules. Rules about players talking to media. Rules about strength and conditioning. Riley is the one who refuses to develop a run game/balanced offense. Its Riley who stat stuffs against weaker teams. If I were a potential DC, I would be very leary about joining a Riley led team. He is a really good air-raid OC. He is a bad HC.
BTW: USC is 7-5 in the last 12 games. Lost to Utah. Lost to ND. Lost to Wash. Almost lost to Cal. Almost lost to Colorado. USC's wins were against who? Literally the bottom of the PAC or worse. USC never deserved their hype. Beating bad teams doesn't = greatness.
If you think Wash can run the ball down USC's throat, going to be a field day for Oregon. Game won't be close. No last minute miracles in this one. Just a clear loss.

All this don't matter. USC will beat Oregon, then Washington will lose a game its not supposed to lose. One of the top 4 will lose before the season ends, and Alabama will beat Georgia in SEC title game, pushing Alabama to highest ranked 1 loss team. If there are 3 or less undefeated teams, the SEC 1 loss team is a automatic bid. OK loss and Ewers out allows Alabama to jump Texas.
USC won’t come close to beating Oregon. There’s a reason Oregon is favored by 14 😂
