I want to get one of those and cut the bars that connect at the 3 and 9 o'clock positions on the pommel in order to open the grip for a fuller extension while thrusting.
Do you advise against such an undertaking?
We wouldn’t recommend that for this sword but people do modify all sorts of things to their liking just be careful of you do so.
Does cold steel use nickel in their handles?
If so it would mainly be ornamental in our opinion. The guard is made of steel.
You need some clutter in your shop.

But am always happy to see people making other people aware that history is a thing, and that there is appreciation of the relics/replicas of the material culture of the people who made them.

So this area is our old showroom where we currently do filming and organize new products coming in. So this table stays relatively clean. Watch a daily or weekly grind video, and you will see the mess that the shop is, tools everywhere! Yes! I love the history aspect of sword and knife making.
