    Did he say the economy is better there than where he came from? Those are some magic words. Ignore the haters. They are jealous that you are living your best life. Keep on doing what you're doing.

      "better economy" is relative - he left Northern Ireland decades ago. Parts of the MX economy are better than the US currently, some are worse and that's always changing. The MX economy is overall strong and growing with a fast-growing middle class. KJ

    Both of you are some of my very favorite men who have walked this Earth. Thank you for the insight and the history of your new home. I think you both should write a book on LGBTQIA history. We know that history has been washed of many of the events of significance for many communities. I need this specific history book for a loved one. Keep doing all that you are doing and keep shining as bright as all the 🌈 rainbows!

    Hey Craig and KJ, Happy Pride from California!! I've been watching and loving your videos and wanted to finally comment. I love how personable you both are (typical happy bears) and have enjoyed getting to know you through your videos. I hope to be a fellow Ex-Pat in a few years and Mexico will definitely be the place, very likely Lake Chapala, though I like PV too.
    I just wanted to give feedback from a type-A to please fix your video perspective so that the text in not backwards (i.e. your hat and t-shirt text and logo). Not a huge deal, but when you watch so many videos in a row like myself and see some perfect and some not... That's why I need to retire to Mexico! : )
    Anyways, a big hug from a fellow bear. Hopefully we can cheers in person one day in the future. I'll reach out to you via e-mail and introduce myself soon. Cheers!!!

    I’m retiring in two years and have every intention of leaving the US. I’ve lived a very stressful life and I’m looking for a safe place that is really laid back and stress free. I would prefer to move to a place with an LGBTQIA+ community because I will be moving alone and hope to build friendships in my new home. Until I watched some of your videos, I really hadn’t considered Mexico until now. Thank you for all the information!

    • @TrulyRemarkableLife
      @TrulyRemarkableLife  Рік тому +1

      It's not a set day or location, which makes it fun. The person in charge of it sends out an email towards the beginning of the month with the details for that month and you need to reply to him with your reservation (most venues can only accommodate 60 people max, so make sure you reserve early!) - since it's an email distribution under his personal name and in the interest of his privacy, send us an email at trulyremarkablelife@gmail.com and we will reply to you with his email address so you can send him your request to be added to that list. Hey there, I know this video is almost a year old, but I thought I'd try commenting here... I'm pretty concerned with the upcoming election and the possible outcomes that could impact my family. One of my kids is trans, so we're eyeing escape hatches (while hoping not to need them 🤞🏽) Ajijic and the wider Lakeside community look lovely -- I was so excited to find your videos! I've got a ton of questions, but I know you guys aren't teens yourselves 😉, and it doesn't look like you've got kids... Still, I'm going to throw my questions out there and hope you know some of the answers 😆I know a lot of expats are retirees -- are there any teens in the LGTBQ+ community in your area? Do you know if gender affirming care is available for teens locally? Also, have you gotten any sense of how accepting the local Instituto Internacional is of trans kids (both on the admin/teacher side and the other kids)? Thanks for any info you can share 🙂

    • @TrulyRemarkableLife
      @TrulyRemarkableLife  6 місяців тому

      We will ask around to see if we can find some information. We do have younger friends who might be able to shed some light on this. However, I do know some couples here personally who have trans kids - so there are definitely people here who are accepting and who have first hand experience in this area... however the kids dont live here. We will try to get some feedback on your specific question from others and add to the comments here.

    Hi I just came across your channel after watching you guys on another UA-cam channel about retiring early in Mexico and saw that you two are gay and that piqued my interest.
    I’ve been living in Puerto Vallarta for the past 2.5 years, I’m retired, 72, and a black woman of transgender experience. I am looking to move to another community here in Mexico especially one that has an active transgender population that isn’t centered around bars and drinking. Can you tell me if Ajijic fits that description? Thanks for your input.

    • @TrulyRemarkableLife
      @TrulyRemarkableLife  Рік тому +2

      Hi there!! I'm so glad that you reached out!! I do know there are a few Transgendered people here in Ajijic, but I don't know if there is an 'active Trans' community. Being a smaller village, the lgbtqia community here is more all-encompassing than most bigger cities. I do know there is an active black women community here locally as well.
      Since PV is not too far, I would recommend you visit and get a feel for the community here. If you decide to do that, Inn Ajijic is our recommended gay-owned vacation rental and there's a 20% off promo code in our video descriptions with instructions on how to use it. If you come visit, let us know and we'll introduce you to members of the lgbtqia community here! KJ

      @@TrulyRemarkableLife thanks so much KJ for getting back to me so soon. Now I have something else to consider to put in my agenda. I am planning to go to Merida next month, but maybe I should stop at Ajijic along the way. I don’t drive, so I’ll have to see if a bus or plane would work better. Also that inn you mentioned, I hope it’s not terribly expensive as I’m only working with social security income here.
