The Athena S1 E22: Please Don't

Sam gets a phone call which unsettles him. He excuses himself from an interview Lenny has set for the band and tries to concentrate on the locket Allie’s tasked the students with making but, distracted, ruins it. Nyela gets a call from Sam’s sister, Nancy, who seems to think that Nyela knows something she actually doesn’t: their mum has a cancerous lump in her breast and is having an operation to have it removed. Nyela says he’s not alone and offers to go to see his mum with him. Sam accepts.

The Athena follows the journey of Nyela Malik a young model whose career implodes when she dares to complain about a famous designer treating her like an object. Nyela decides she wants to design her own clothes rather than wear other people’s, and wins a place at The Athena, London’s most prestigious art school. It’s a fresh new start - but it’s also the start of fresh new challenges for Nyela. The Athena is full of super-creative, super-ambitious students - photographers, costume designers, graphic artists, fashion designers, jewellery-makers - all intent on pursing their dreams at any cost. As Nyela navigates this exhilarating but scary new world, she’s also being pulled back into her old life, thanks to her two model friends Miju and Lexy.
