To say a top controller for NA is downgrade is absurd, I know you lose Tenz who has absurd mechanics, but Bang is such an amazing fit he fills that controller role I would say better then Tenz did just off of agent picks alone. I really don’t see issues outside of the normal growing pains new rosters go through.

Especially how flexible bang is when it comes from controller agents he can play all of it and with astra coming back this next season despite it being a minor buff it is still a huge deal.
I actually feel like this year's SEN has a good chance to be MUCH better than last year's honestly. Sen last year pretty obviously had issues. They couldn't flush out maps where Tenz was previously a primary awper such as Ascent & Breeze all season, Tenz wasn't comfortable in diverse agent picks and the whole team besides Tenz and Zekken had a slower paced, lurking playstyle that led to many disadvantages in their teamplay whenever either Zekken or Tenz were shutdown. JohnQT has also transitioned into playing initiator and Zellsis the primary Sentinel/Anchor.
Yea honestly with bangs performance today he was showing signs of his peak level and while still not at peak tenz it's not like he needs to be. That kind of a delta doesn't make a massive difference in terms of impact. I'd put them easily in improved a lot just for the sole reason that their massive issue has been alleviated in terms of inconsistency. Once John settles back into initiator Sen are gonna look world class again without all the huge drops in some games

@sid748 mechanically sure but Bang is not BAD he is still above average mechanics wise at pro level. Also he plays less aggressively and won't end up accidentally costing a round and now John replaces Tenz' role as second entry. I think just being able to run Astra on more maps is worth enough to warrant Bang not being a downgrade

The firepower on this new sen team is ridiculous and theyre still maintaining a fair amount of the compact coordinated play and ridiculous retake util combos. With time these guys are gonna wipe the floor in internationals. After watching the video id say honestly about the same. I think this team wont ever reach the absurd peaks the prior roster did but they sure as hell will consistently be at a level enough to where theyre always gonna be in a position to win games and not completely get blown out due to underperformances
100t was an improvement id say. zander is like bang but zander is best friends with asuna, old teammate with eeiu, and an old teammate with cryo. i think he’ll fit in perfectly and be better than bang despite bang being one of the best controllers
Just because they are friends doesn't mean that they will automatically have godlike synergy in game. They still need to mesh together in the vct setting for a while to develop that synergy. Bang was with asuna for 3 years (before franchising) and 2 years with cryo. so I think "about the same" is fair enough.

SEN is such an interesting case. N4RR4TE is obviously a better shooter than Sacy, but Sacy is better in almost every other way, experience/maturity, 2nd calling, and everything else.

All that util of last year isnt nearly as great as it was as of current but I think once he gets back into the groove of initiator he should be good tho still not sacy level. Their biggest improvement is their consistency issues. They won't be having games where 2 players are having life games and the other 3 just being paper weights.
Tbh sentinels new roaster looks good and Fresh, old roaster towards the end seems burned out and lacking energy. New roaster should bring new energy and motivation again.
Not burned out, they just didn't have the mechanics to consistently compete. If John has a bad game then the whole team crumbles because zellsis and sacy for the most part don't frag and are always supporting. This change helps with that cause it's for the most part easier to igl for John being on the initiator and also with far more firepower for him to play with. They don't need to rely so much on zekkens space making to win rounds and they can rely on the crutches of all their amazing clutch potentials and chemistry with 2 v X's in p much all permutations.
