I wanted to do this to help people coming into GBO2 for the first time may it be on PS4/5 or PC to get an idea on how things work. Nothing is IN-depth so please check out the helpful videos we've done already:

Some are outdated and are slowly being updated so sit tight! There is so much to cover. I did not cover the 3 suit types General, Support and Raid as I figured we might as revisit that in another video. Just know this:
Generals - All Rounders.
Support - "Support" team with range or other mechs such as detection.
Raid - CQC/Assassin/Glass Cannons that usually have unrivaled mobility.

My bro got me into this game, and to be honest, I’ve kinda avoided it. The slow pace and clunky controls are starkly different from the fast paced action of games like Gundam vs Gundam and Extreme VS, and i seem to have no trouble… getting curbstomped by everyone. I need to get better at this one. I have logged in every day though. It’s staying, and playing that puts me off. Thanks for making this.
The realistic movement is the draw for me actually lol Learning it is so satisfying and the systems are in depth
The only issue I've had so far as a noob is I dont get why you need to see people's health bars through walls. It would be much better if you could only see them on the radar imo

Speaking as someone with particularly bad internet, the first penalty rating is caution, which you can get from disconnecting once or stunning allies too often.
This rating only reduces the points you gain from sorties
The next rating is penalty LV.1, which can be achieved by disconnecting once with a penalty rating of caution.
This level prevents sortie in any online form (but not free practice or simulator) for 1 day and 6 hours, and then restricts you from gaining any rank points from Winning or beating a rival. It also reduces the exp and dp gained from winning.
Both of these levels can be removed by completing six ranked matches per caution level, however this number may be reduced for first offense.
I have not yet reached penalty LV. 2 yet but assume it's reached by disconnecting with a penalty rating of 1, and likely is removed the same way as the other two.
I just got my first lvl2 penalty the other day I was trying to fix lv1 by doing the rank I completed the match but it failed to sync and gave me penalty lv2 I'm banned for 4 day yeahay

Update it took me 1 match to get back from lv2 penalty to lv1 then additional 6 match to caution then 5 additional 5 for good total of 12 match for me from lv2 to good

Haha this is awesome, I just watched your earlier version of this earlier in the day.
So fucking hyped for this coming out on PC! Straight up I have followed the game for two years (like pretty much everyone who was uploading content about the game I'd watch whatever they'd put out each week) despite not owning any console capable of playing it (haven't owned a console since the PS2, what can I say PC just clicked with me).
I'd been seriously considering saving up for a second hand PS4 (I am a full time carer for a family member and as such broke as fuck) just for this game. So to have it coming to my platform, let's just say my pepper is harder than gundaniun right now.

I feel like you shouldn't be punished for having bad connection and you should get a penalty only for rated matches or leaving a match rage quiting from losing
can you look at the list of available suits for the network test and let us know the top suit of each class in each cost bracketa? like under 200 under 400 etc

I wish this game wasn't coming to PC to disappoint so many gundam fans. I do not understand the class system, and I seriously hate that the flinch, stun and topple can be jungled and abused by an entire team to basically push into camping the base spawn.
There needs to be a limit, longer cooldowns or simple a restriction that only supports can cause a knockdown and only raids can cause flinch from melee and general type is actually general type with no disadvantage against the other two. Why they gotta trash the R8-78? ONLY the bazooka and Vulcan and a saber?Saber?? The vukcan does nothing and the bazooka wait time is literally deadly.
I was excited for this game, played all the tutorial and as I completed each one I just got worse and worse and when I finally started quick matches it was as I feared and theorized. It's painful, boring, not fun, spawn camping robo basher. Their is more CC abuse than Dynasty warriors. More CC abuse than Black Desert! More CC abuse than a gundam game EVER needed and it's a huge disappointment. I didn't know it was this bad for console and why it has not gotten better for console and that it's being ported over to PC.

This is quite helpful, but do you know any great tips to rank up more? I need to rank up to get a better beam saber for my level 4 G-3 Gundam and I’m currently stuck with a level 1 beam saber for it
I would hold off on the saber as you'll eventually get another level in pulls or you might fall in love with another suit you get. Right now, hold off on buying it and save up a bit.

Thank you just started today, and when I tried sortie it told me suit cost to much and I did not know how to change it, I looked for change MS area on the screen found none, but from what you said here I use Haro to pick a suit that meets the cost. As it must have had the one I was working on in my hanger?

I'm still waiting to join around and I keep on getting kicked because of no rooms available please try again a kicks me right back out into the lobby. What am I doing wrong
I’m fairly new and have won 1 round out of 5, in D- ranked battles 400, a guy in what looked like a bare fisted melee suit kept getting matched against my team. Melee suit got over 450,000 damage every round (120k has been the norm high damage in matches) I’d die after what seemed to be 2-3 blows from that melee suit in my Gelgoog, what was that suit and what strategy was he using?
That aside I’m really interested in learning how to play and will invest some time, I’m sad about how bad I am at this game vs how good I was at Gundam Vs.
Going to PM, think we could squad up and you could critique/teach me in hopes of getting better?

the video popped up since i watch some of your video a long time ago. I was wondering if the game balance is better now. The game was fun at the beginning but turned into a nightmare really fast. Basically even if you are a lvl 1 player with one crappy mobile suit with no upgrade or parts, you will be place in fight with lvl 100 player with fully upgraded suit that you cant even buy at your "rank" so basically you will be instantly be killed by anything if you're in a match with high lvl players.
The rank match are waaaay too punishing when you lose a match. You can spend like 5 battles to go up in battle rank and lose all your progress by losing one or two match. The highest I was able to go is Ground Rank C until I lost a couple a match and got back down to Ground Rank -D.
The custom battle are completely useless since it's only room of people messing around like Team A vs Team B where Team B simply let themselves be killed without fight for whatever reason. Or also some room where people just stand around doing nothing or just fight using melee.
In most fight, you will most likely be stun almost infinitely by stagger or by being knock over and killed while you lie on the ground unable to do anything. the only way to not get stuck in this pattern is to fight really far away for other MS.
Also never play this game with a poor internet connection or over wifi. If you get disconnected during a match you will get penalized heavily. first a caution, after penalty 1 with a 6h ban from all rank, quick, event and rating match. Every reward will be cut by 50%. After the 6h ban, you have to do around 6 rank match to go back to caution. You won't be able to gain ground or space rank BUT you can still lose rank. if you managed to get to penalty 2 you will have a 5 days ban from all rank, quick, event and rating match. Every reward will be 0. You will have to do 15 rank match to go back to penalty 1 and another 5 or 6 to go back to caution. and don't forget you won't be able to gain ground or space rank BUT you can still lose rank.

If you have a poor connection, I wouldn't recommend playing this game.
Also as a new player, I don't want to "discourage" players but I'd say stay away from rated until you got a grasp on suits, fundamentals and some parts. Getting stunned while being hit is part of the gameplay may it be build-up or instant and that probably won't change (any time soon).
If you want to come back and check the game out I'd say do that but at a slower pace. Some games will be good, some bad so keep that in mind.
Rating system will always hurt more when you lose or even if you win... D:
My advice is to try out some suits and see what tickles your fancy and work from there!

That has not been confirmed. Sometimes they give older suits buffed so we won't know until Buffs/Nerfs roll out and that is usually once a month. Twice if we're lucky.

The Battle Simulator updates usually during huge events throughout the year so do them all now and you can do them once new events are released

Your describing the core of any fighter stun = combo lock run = spacing and there's a counter and s not saying game is best but systems work you have to get gud

This game has huge potential for fun even if you lose alot.
For me what's blocking it for me is the cost system. If you want to play your favorite gundam you ain't gonna play them for two reasons:it's trapped behind the cost system so uh good luck with that, and secondly it's gacha so good luck trying to get em.
What I would change is get rid of the cost system and make them all equally balanced. Items should be trashed. Weapons are probably the only thing I would keep with small buffs that won't effect tremendously but still effect alittle. Weapons can be given to different gundams etc and would change the playstyle abit through matches. That's what I would change though the main mechanics are already good just lower the stun timer alittle.
But seriously though thr cost system is a big turn off for me imo.
In the game can you be from Zeon?
You play as a private military company, they have suits from both zeon and the EFF
You can focus at only Zeon suits

The banners when you start the game, also can see again at the monitor space under huge billboard (it's the ones they advertise for supply drops) if you happen to have one they advertised then you will get perks towards monthly missions for the week/month

Sorry to hear that. Remember to report people who are action negative /super toxic. You however have to stay until the end of the match but I would totally do it - if it means another report to get someone taken out of the room rotations ;)
