Amen!! I just commented on another video where Lindsey Graham was so outraged by Mr. Smalls and the start of this union. At the end of the day, those who are angry are angry bc slavery is over, Black people ARE SMART and Mr. Smalls has organized this union to create a better work life for ALL PEOPLE!! Those who are angry just want the status quo to at least sort of remain; Worker bees keep on working no matter what cause they need us to keep making Bezos, Musk and many others the wealthiest people in the world while the workers may be homeless, lack health care and can barely feed themselves or their kids. And don't ask these wealthy people to help eliminate some of our social ills. They'd rather spend their money on saving a dinosaur, some obscure sea creature or owning 9 homes around the world & 12 yachts when they can only be in one place at a time. Let me stop.

What people are you talking about? All people, or black people?...., cause that saying, along with that hand symble is the quote, and symble of the black panthers, and you know I'm right. I'm not racist, and love all people, but I feel that your thoughts, and feelings are meant only for a certain group of people, and it should be for all people. I may be wrong about it, but I really don't think I am. I believe in the power to black people, but also to Hispanics, Asians, Whites, Arabs, Native Americans, and all others. I don't mean for my comment to be based on a racial situation, cause the video is about people's work rights, but it just bothers me that the comment you made seems to be based on rights for a certain group of people, and like I said, I might be wrong, and truly don't mean any disrespect about what I am saying, I just feel that you should have chosen a better way of expressing your thoughts if what I am saying isn't what you meant. And I can express myself anyway that I choose. Anybody with a modicum of common sense would know that I wasn’t singling out black people when I said that employers need the employees! It's called capitalism.
Capitalists are not necessarily evil (some are), it is the system that says that you are supposed to make as much profits for 'growth, growth, growth' and by any means necessary and that often involves paying people as little as they legally can. A company that does not grow/expand is often seen as being unsuccessful although they may actually be quite profitable.

I've worked for Nestlé for a long time and i can verify that amazon is not a one off company in this way. There was an employee working at Nestle who was fired for peeing in a sink on the floor, but he did so because he didn't have a chance to go to the restroom. I was personally yelled at and berated for taking one of 3 breaks (having skipped the other two) that i was supposedly entitled to. There were days where I didn't take a break at all, no lunch either. Then when something happened to the factory , and our line has to be rebuilt , after everything i put into working for them, the first time as a supervisor, and the second time as an operator, they put me back in a position that most temps never even have to do after training and said they had no choice but to cut my pay $7.00 an hour. They continued to call me when i stopped going and i contemplated keeping my job there , as i needed the money. However after clocking in at 300 in the morning and leaving at 4pm, getting breaks that can't even be considered breaks , and after helping to install a line And writing standards at the level a supervisor's supervisor would normally do without any of the benefits, you get tired. Especially when they seem to have such a short memory, or none at all on the work you have done for them. I finally decided to quit, as i couldn't force myself to wake up at one in the morning any longer to do a job that i hate and that i believed i had worked my way out of having to do. They will cheat and use you at every corner and have no regard for their employees. This guy is amazing !!

Home Depot isn't much better. One day I was threatened with being written up for taking a bathroom break after six uninterrupted hours. The next -- literally -- I was written up for not taking a lunch break until six hours in. There was no one else in my slammed department. I could also have been written up for telling a customer I couldn't help them. We were frequently scheduled for shifts as late as midnight while having to be in at 5A.M. the next day. This was called "flexible work hours", which is often touted in retail as an advantage for workers. On my training and orientation day, we skipped lots of the material we were interested in so they could pay us for less than the scheduled 8 hours we were promised, but spent 2 full hours on the evils of unions. All managers and HR came in for the union discussion and they took names of everyone who had ever belonged to a union previously. Large corporations, despite the SCOTUS ruling that they are entitled to the same rights as people, have no souls. Kudos to Chris Smalls, and thank you from all workers who desperately need unions.

First time hearing about this guy. What a cool dude. His heart for the workers really touched me as I watched this. Kudos to him. Wishing him the best of luck.

Thank you for your interview of this man... too many times I see interviewers "dumb down" their speech based on their assumptions...you respected him for the intelligent person he is...

Hearing Chris talk about the internal workings of the factory sounded super dystopian. I personally boycotted Amazon a couple of years ago when I heard the peeing in bottles thing. Haven't bought anything from there since, at my own inconvenience.

I boycotted Amazon 3 yrs ago when I found out that they didn't pay local and very little state taxes. They use our public roads, transportation, police etc. Get tax subsidies but can't help the community and the infrastructure by paying local and state taxes. Not to mention the treatment of their workers. SHAME. I will not support a company with absolutely no morality.

THIS inspires me. I haven't been on IG in years but none of those flashy pictures ever inspired me.
Seeing this guy accomplish his mission, something that benefits a lot people, makes me want to do even more in life.
