U often hear of Muslims defending the honour of Nabi SAW, giving up their lives in many cases when He is villified by islamophobes. I would lie away thinking about God, the universe, and would spend so much time trying to make sense of the trinity, never able to understand how it was possible or plausible. When his master came to reclaim him, the Prophet PBUH offered to buy him for two black slaves so that he could be freed. From then on, whenever someone wanted to pledge allegiance, the Prophet PBUH would ask them if they were free or not before accepting their oath of loyalty. That’s a very, very common misconception. If you’re sincere Sardarji, in seeking understanding, then please read the following. The verse you’re referring to is Chapter 2, verse 29 which commonly translates in English as: “It is He who created for you everything on earth, THEN turned to the heaven, and made them seven heavens. And He is aware of all things.” The translated word THEN in Arabic, which is the language the Quran was first revealed in, can mean MOREOVER, SIMULTANEOUSLY or IN ADDITION. So this verse does not mean Earth was created first and *then* Heaven. The verse simply explains that God created everything on Earth (line one). And at the SAME time, God created seven heavens (line two and three). This corresponds perfectly in Chapter 41, verse 9-12 where God actually breaks down how Earth and the Heavens were created. Two days to create Earth. Four days to create everything on Earth. And SIMULTANEOUSLY, two days to create the Heavens. This also corresponds with the scientific understanding of the Big Bang, where the entire universe was created (the heavens) simultaneously with the Earth.
