Brings back memories of my 90 ranger except mine didn’t have 4x4. Over 150,000 miles when sold it to the mechanic. 80 percent gravel roads and only needed a new timing belt and rear bearings.

Nice low mileage Hoopty, had a 1995 lx with the 4 liter engine back in 2002. Best $1500 I ever spent. Bought it with 150K mileage, sold to a friend after 4 years for $1K. He drove it past 300,000 miles before it finally bit the dust. It was the gift that kept on giving. Someone ran into him, insurance gave him $1600 and he kept driving it.

That same engine was used in the Thoroughbred Trike three wheeler. Was made in Troup, Tx. Very cool. Had a steering with heat and A/C.

My first truck was a 94 Ranger 4x4. Push the a/c switch in, in order to turn the compressor on.

I have a similar ranger. Last I checked it has about 320,000 miles. Runs perfect. I trash it and it refuses to die. I’ve literally jumped it and nothing ever breaks.
Nice, i had a 93, same engine and transmission, but 2wd, not a very fast truck, but if driven right, the gas mileage is amazing.
My first brand new car was a 1989 Ford Ranger with the extended cab and in-line 6 engine. Also was a manual transmission...bought it without knowing how to drive a stick back then lol. Great lil truck.

Take the truck to the self wash car wash and power wash and clean the interior lol another idea hook up nitrous kit on it take it to the drag strip
Hey Mike, I noticed that when you closed the hood, you just slammed it down. Just a recommendation to close it softly then push down on it til it latches, it could be that the hood latch is on its last legs.
You should look into your local SCCA chapter and see when the next Rally cross event is and send it! that could really make some interesting content!
My manual 86 ranger had a constant bad sending unit. I just kept a couple gallons in the bed at all times. It also had like 68hp, no brakes, no ac, no power steering, a compression leak and rusting bedsides. Sold it for $500 though.
I literally thought it was an OBS F-150, but a Ranger XLT is nice too. I'm excited for the upcoming hooptie videos. You might also need a 'car wizard' to look at that leak...

i had a green 94 Ford Ranger extended cab manual in high school with the 2.3 engine. Has 8 spark plugs in a 4 cylinder lol. Keep an eye on the hanger bearing on the driveshaft. Mine got like 10 mpg lol
Need add some spacers on front axle to even out the gap between fenders on the front axle and rear axles.
Those 4-cyl engines are good! New plugs, wires etc and they last forever

Hey Mike 👋 had ford ranger with the 4.0L was great to the cv shafts whent in 2001 and 2007 they said from ford can't get them anymore. And catalytic converters whent at same times. Awsome truck in the winter. Me wife need new truck. Live car life with a chevy malibu from 2017. Junk 1.5L
Have you considered maybe fixing it up? Maybe turn into some sort of restoration project

My dad had a 1998 Ford f 150 lariat and the gas thing on the dash went out too so from my experience it should have more than it says on the dash

HAHAHAHAHA I DO THE SAME WITH THE SUV THAT WAS PASS DOWN TO ME BY MY FATHER, ITS A FORD EVEREST/ENDEAVOUR 2006 and the whole dash is not working so everytime I get on it to go to school I shake it hard to listen if I have gas left 😂
