    As always, this is such a great video with very clear guidance and instructions from Michelle. My problem often with exercises is that I go through them too quickly but by listening carefully to Michelle it really makes the difference. I feel so much more confident that I’m doing them correctly as a result. Thank you as always!

    Michelle. Your videos are so helpful. I have been in pain with GTPS and was told by my osteopath to start stretching. The stretches from my physio made me worse (the osteopath was amazing though) your exercises in combination with osteopathy has me out of pain and walking for the first time in 2 years. I can not thank you enough.

    I recently had a DEXA scan, and it said I have osteperosis in my hip and something called oatepenia everywhere else.
    They started me on a weekly pill but suggested I exercise.
    So I'm going to save this video and try these out.
    I'm only in my 40s and already here. But then again, I started menopause at 35 years old. So I guess it's not that surprising.

This first one is osteoporosis stretches see here ua-cam.com/video/XlYi1IFSOCA/v-deo.htmlsi=Ci4jDNmfzaHyNeV2 and posture correction stretches (start gently with the leg/hip swings) ua-cam.com/video/Eb_9113WzHk/v-deo.htmlsi=R0cNg362X3nZ6I1V I'll make a laying down stretching video in coming months too, I hope this is helpful 🙏🏽🌻

    I asked you 11 months ago whether I should do these exercises as I have 2 spinal fractures- I should very much appreciate a reply.

    • @michellephysio
      @michellephysio  Рік тому +1

      @DMDBOTH Hello my sincere apologies for the delayed reply, thank you for persevering. After spinal fractures exercises need to be specifically prescribed for your body by a physiotherapist. He/she will know the best exercises to promote your recovery for the region of your spine and muscles involved. These are general back-strengthening exercises not designed for women with spinal fractures. Wishing you all the best 🙏

    Hi Michelle, I am new to your channel,so not sure where to start. Firstly I have a prolapsed bladder,but,have just been diagnosed with osteopenia, plus I have osteoarthritis in spine,plus curve in spine. I walk every day,up to 30 mins. Now. My question is,if I follow your osteoporosis exercises,will it worsen prolapse. Maybe you could suggest which exercises to begin with I want to do for both issues. I am 80 and I want to remain non reliant on walkers etc. Thankyou Diann

    • @michellephysio
      @michellephysio  9 місяців тому

      @dianndarling4428 Hi Diann, lovely to hear from you! Diann all the exercises you see me perform on all my exercises videos for women are pelvic floor friendly and therefore usually appropriate for women with prolapse problems. I do have a couple of "Unsafe Exercises to Avoid" videos too. We know that walking is a wonderful exercise, however it has no benefit for increasing bone density, bone density exercises with prolapse problems require appropriate resistance (strength) training, gentle core and balance exercises too. Diann here is my playlist of Osteoporosis Exercises ua-cam.com/play/PLqo18HBnle8zFH1-RSxTx-k35V0UHknpG.html You can scroll through and choose. These exercises are all pelvic floor friendly for women with prolapse too. I will make some specific exercise videos in the future on this topic too as it’s a very important one, thank you for the prompt. Best wishes🙏

    My 7 month old male cat has been suffering from itchiness, rash, redness, rough far despite us washing him regularly, we also apply antiseptic creams on him, also cold drenched multani soil ( one kind of Indian organic skin care remedy). We are very anxious about him. Any remedies? He has gotten thinner for a couple of months now! 😿😢I can't bear the boy's discomfort! Also the cat poops numerous times a day whereas he only takes some white rice with cooked fish (mostly). My father is shocked noticing him go poty more than twice. Please please do something to resolve my cat's itchiness.🙂

    Michelle, waiting for something on sciatica. This also can help I suppose.

    • @michellephysio
      @michellephysio  2 роки тому

      @Anjali Agrawal not necessarily unfortunately - sciatica exercises need to be specific to the cause. Spinal extension exercises can help with sciatica caused by a disc bulge but can worsen sciatica caused by osteoarthritis/wear and tear. I'm going to be taking some time to make some videos on this in the coming weeks so stay tuned and thank you so much for the reminder!!❤️

    Hi please, is doing kegals useful for weak suspensory ligaments ?

    • @michellephysio
      @michellephysio  2 роки тому +1

      @simon yes Kegels strengthen the pelvic floor muscles. Stronger pelvic floor muscles can take the load and pressure off the suspensory ligaments. Both the ligaments and the muscles work together to support the pelvic organs and hold them in position 🙏

    • @michellephysio
      @michellephysio  2 роки тому

      Thank you for your comment. You can actually increase the strength of erector spinae muscles by simply activating them without even lifting the body and there’s no need to hyperextend and I caution against this with osteoporosis exercises, all the best 🙏
