My grand cat come over to nanny's house for the weekend. He climbs into the cupboard where nanny keeps a big ziploc of homegrown & contemplates how to climb up to the top shelf to get the bag, but the door keeps closing behind him. God help us if he ever figures it out!😂
When my calico Noki got too much kong catnip, she would sit & stare at the wall until it wore off. I now have 3 black cats (male & female) --- 1 male tabby and white who go crazy for the catnip once a week; but the pure tabby female just looks at them like they are nuts!

I never heard of kittens getting sick from it. The only thing is, they won't react to it much. Catnip actually stimulates the part of the brain that makes the cat horny. In the case of kittens, it doesn't work because it's not fully developed yet. So it's basically a waste of time and money to give it to a kitten.
Occasionally, you get a cat not into the Nip. I had a female totally uninterested in it and a male only slightly. We had one like Goblin, who crossed his eyes and tipped over! My Dad was never tired of that and laughed like a nut.
It’s fun because my first cat was in love with olives too. It made her mad. She loved sniffing and playing with olives and above everything else, she absolutely loved a small spoon made with olive wood. She had it in her mouth from her kitten age to her death at 20 😂
If it’s ok for cats to get high off catnip, it is absolutely more than acceptable for humans to get high off of ganja. Everyone needs a nice escape from this thing we call life…some require more intensity than others. I have had six cats in my life, and only three of them reacted the stereotypical way. Cat, Calico, and Buzz all reacted the way people love and want--eager for more, lots of exaggerated playing, and then a crash later. Marten, however, just...kinda chilled out and contemplated her own lack of thumbs. PJ, on the other hand, became extremely playful, yes--but also extremely aggressive, and would attack his two sisters (Marten and Buzz) if they came anywhere near his stash. And Agnes, my current furbaby, is immune. HOWEVER, she does get a bit excited for silvervine sticks.
I'm trippin out dude. Hilarious. My cat used to love it before rehab. Joke, I never gave her that much apart when she used to steal it then it was a free for all. I had to find a more secure place for it
I remember getting catnip for my cats and they just buried their face into the catnip , just like Scarface when he had that mountain of cocaine , they got the same look .😂
It still amazes me the varying reactions that different cats have. It's like passing a joint around and one guy immediately starts to uproot a tree, then the next guy starts cartwheeling while making Curly noises

Cat Crack one is hilarious. The voice over was purrfect. I had a cat once, rescued from a shelter, all gray, female, Persian, I think. Very cool, ridiculously funny. It was always up for fetch the bottle cap game filled with primo Nip. It would actually retrieve the cap, and drop it at my feet for another round. I found many bottle caps in my apartment during those times. Under the sofa, in my tennis shoes, in the house plants, under the refrigerator, in the bathtub too. Later after the nip wore off, and maybe a cat nap- she would be back asking for milk & cookies maybe the odd doughnut or two. Use in moderation. Just a pinch or two between ur gums just like dip- goes along way. U give ur cat a hand full- of good nip... be prepared for the sillyness that follows.
I made a mistake many years ago. I bought a catnip plant from a nursery. I immediately went straight home. I placed my key in the door, and as I opened the door, my cat was walking towards me with his neck stretched out like a giraffe! 😮 I had no idea that Catnip was that potent ! 😺 I placed it on the floor briefly, and he immediately attacked and chewed it up. I quickly removed it and tossed it into the trash bin. 😒 never again did I buy catnip!!
I had a cat the realized I kept the catnip in a coffee can, and any time that can came out he cried until he got some, as a tip, you should keep a can filled with catnip and store their toys in it, when it comes out after being in there for a few weeks, it keeps the occupied for hours
