Despite your claims of "low-effort," from my perspective, these videos had thought in their editing, and just cutting down hour-long rounds for footage is already an admirable feat.
I am just wondering... does this transmit radiation into the air? Like, if you were to go overkill, couldn't you just build an atmos system where you make the entire oxygen pass into a 2x1 cell with only the demon core inside? Make the main atmos pipe (blue) be pumped in and then back into the thing? Just a silly idea. You could slowtoast the entire station with no safe place existing. Atmos does take a long time though, as the air only gets pushed into a room once the pressure dips below a certain point, mainly due to either breach or due to contaminants that got scrubbed. Syphoning entire rooms could be a possibility but that would be definite antag stuff. Well, you could put "N2" as a contaminant on the air alarm settings, which would slowly, over time raise the oxygen level in the air.
@@aminjeanbredimus7157 radiation doesn't work that way in ss14. But i've pumped plasma into the vents before and it's about the same effect, even worse if someone happens to be smoking or welding when the plasma comes in
I used to love doing this on fallout servers as a ghoul, if you made an irradiated sword and put it in a sheath nobody could work out the source of the radiation poisoning.
fun fact they did not remove the demon core from this map because people were irradiating people with it, they removed it cause it was free power for engi. And cause wizden hates fun
I finally decided to learn med and then a glowing skeleton walks into medbay planting the seeds of my hatred for skeletons (endearing) will never forget this shift.
I remember one time I was a scientist in a ripley which was carrying an artifact with the hydraulic clamp. I was carrying it because it was a comms artifact, but it reacted and stopped working. I didn't think much of it. A court case was going on and I went to attend, still in the ripley. I was hurting for some reason but figured I could go to med after the case. I start hurting more and crit by the time I go to leave. Shortly after some of the attendees crit, including the captain. I'm revived in med and they tell me I was severely irradiated, upon hearing this I realize what has happened and get to the courtroom as fast as possible. By the time I do nearly everyone there is on the ground, some being dragged to medical. I hop in the ripley and quickly go back to sci and tell people what's going on so they'll stay away. We put the artifact in an artifact crate and sell it. Surprisingly, I did not get fired for taking a radioactive artifact to a court case, I guess everyone was much more worried about dealing with the consequences rather than punishing me.
That reminds me of good old times of proper radiation on SS13. TG removed it for status effect rads, but back in the day radiation was its own seperate damage type, invisible, moved from object to object and could stack on an object infinitely. Plasmemes irradiating the whole station by walking through it once after 30 minutes in SM chamber was common.
carrying a bluespace RPED with 200 irradiated matter bins which causes anyone you walk near to immediately have 9k+ rads (potassium iodine only removed like, 10 rads per tick). The time period between cloning getting removed and radiation getting reworked truly were a beautiful time to be an engineer with a radsuit.

Skeleton holding the Demon Core: "An Orb."
You know a skeleton carrying a demon core sure do make skeletons scary again.
Yeah as they are not effected by radiation which means they can just weld it to their chest cavity and now we have a big problem.

They really aughta make it more obvious that you're taking radiation damage...
Well, radiation really isn't obvious. If it was, it would be a lot less threatening.
I mean the most they can really do for you is giving you a text or something similar talking about having a strange metallic state in your mouth
The person holding the demon core as it rolls directly infront of the skeleton: "a gift from the heavens!"
They may kill you, but they can never take your power.
I have no idea how I assumed this was an ss13 vid after being recommended this out of the blue, but I was not disappointed in the slightest.
Only in SS13 can you run around as a demon core-wielding skeleton wizard killing tens of people
It was SS14
i too would be annoyed if someone was holding a demon core near me

Taking the plutonium core and shoving it inside a storage implant to become radiation incarnate is such a timeless trick.
Just touch the super matter it’s much easier. Also 400 radiation is nothing, I’ve had 3000 before!
although this is older but they werent permadead a competent chemist would make cryo chems

Are skeletons immune to rads? How'd you even get the demon core?
I assume magic due to being the Wizard
I'm fairly certain that a mapper placed it on that map.
