I watched a couple of videos and am very thankful for technology. Anxiety kills in so many ways, and yet we dont talk about it out of fear. Thank you for sharing. Congratulations to anybody who is working towards making their life better with this and all anxiety disorders. It can turn ugly pretty fast. I have a few things I would like to add that may help. MY social anxiety was like OCD turned inwards. It turned every ANT into a roller coaster death spiral. I tried so many things. So many doctors dont know how bad this can get. It runs in families. It's genetic. It can lead to depression and giving up on life. It does NOT have to be that way. After 6 years of therapy and Doctor shopping, I found the root cause of MY anxiety, and it was ADHD. Expensive way to find the answer. Nobody would have guessed I had ADHD. I was a long distance runner ,swimmer, and bike rider to self medicate my anxiety and help focus my mind. It works for a time, but not forever. You can't run from fear PERIOD....ADHD medication calmed me down so much that MY social anxieties were almost non-existent. Karaoke was easy, and still, I sucked at it, but people came to me asking why it was so easy for me to be social. Night and Day. Your life will get better if you start searching and start doing like this gentleman says. Never give up. We all have something to share in this world. You will have setbacks. Otherwise, you are not on the right road.
I do fist bumps at meetings. If they hold out an open hand, just bump the hand with your closed drenched fist. I used to shake with a wet hand and everyone in my office thought it was pee. Most people now gladly fist bump me
I like this a lot! Great idea if you work in the right kind of place. Unfortunately the people where I worked - especially the Ambassador - weren't really fist-bump kind of people :(
How do you deal with shame from feeling behind in life due to social anxiety? im graduating a year late, never worked, and I started getting laid but rely on strong anxiety meds, never had a long term relationship/girlfriend, I’m about to graduate with a seemingly useless degree at 24 The shame seems to make anxiety worse and just paralyzes me further, how do I stop the cycle of beating myself up?
Bro, I was 32 before I started to get a grip on this. You are 24, you're barely out of puberty. Now is the best time to address your issues. Consume everything you can on personal development and upgrading your flawed mental patterns. Educate yourself obsessively and IMPLEMENT relentlessly. Change is then inevitable.
Bro, thanks for the video, but most of you are talking about sweaty hands, my head and face sweat is very bad, when talking to people, I sweat if I feel a little nervous, then I feel embarrassed, then I sweat a lot, it's already a vicious cycle, I feel like I suffer from severe social anxiety, but there is no solution!
Exactly same problem with me. Even I can't ask a question in the classroom . I sweat even in petty awkward moments . How could I overcome to this?? Plz help ..
@@JsValte Bro, I’m about to graduate and start looking for a job, but I can’t even work like this. Sweating in front of so many people is mentally breaking me. The only solutions I know are surgery or taking anticholinergic medications. Do you have any better solution?
I’ve always been a sweaty person too, but to be brutally honest, it never bothered me. Even when it showed through my shirt. One thing I do have to tell my doctor about is dry eyes, which then over tears up and causes wet teary eyes🥹 or sometimes one eye. One time I was about to approach a random woman on the street to meet her, perfect opportunity and everything, but backed out because I had tears running down my face onto my shirt.. very weird situation I don’t think it’s a common problem 🤔
I'm glad it never bothered you. It's interesting you suffered with dry eyes too. My brother and a friend who also have hyperhidrosis both also suffer with very hot, dry eyes.
Do you also suffer with excessive sweating? How do you deal with it?
I sweat on my palms and feet even when I m relaxing
Im anxious bc i sweat, i sweat bc im anxious
That's why you need to reset your nervous system and break the feedback loop.
me too,plz tell how to stop sweating
