You wonder why Europe is facing huge problems with rising terrorism, well I will give you a clue. Have you ever heard of the saying " chickens coming home to roost "
James Turner "resistance" itself being a french word, implying that all movements of resistance owe their name to the french resistance during ww2, your comment is kind fo self destructive...do you realize it? the video itself is about a patriotic woman resisting globalism, and showing more bravery that most people, and yet some driving force compels you to post a nasty and insulting comment about france... how pathetic... by the way I'm a french man. what is you nationality so that we can have some fun too?
Alain, I know this is hot stuff, but resisting globalism is resisting progress, futile. Returning to a divided, nationalist Europe is a scarier prospect for me than having the Chinese making my stuff. btw, the resistance thing is a well known British joke on France, don't take it personally. I'm Belgian, and if someone posts a joke about my country, I respond with 2 more :) Self-mockery is healthy
alexander reusens no it s not a British joke to mock the resistance movement itself. and there is a difference between a joke and an insult. if you're right and if James is british, then let s have a laugh by talking about the bravery of the British army who fled like schoolgirls in dinkirk, without telling their allies (Belgian and french).abandoning the good fight ... and a few days later bombarding the french float by surprise and killing more than a thousand french men in mers el kebir. how funny...how brave...with allies like that, and on top on that insulting you after 70 years... regarding globalism, this is not progress. not in the positive sense. the mass media would have you believe that, but this is a move towards a tyrannical global government that could not care less about the people. regarding what you said, do you realize people in your own country are sacrificed and are jobless because of these crazy policies. ...just so you can have a new iPhone?
Wex MCL do your research, the word resistance as a political movement is an hommage to the resistance movement in france during ww2 and is the french word. itself being derived from Latin.

This is not France.” - Le Pen This out of context editing drives me crazy. Just be honest Vox
Sorensenator86 How well Le Pen would have protected France from terrorism by demonizing and radicalizing French Muslims is something that we'll never know now, sadly.
Marine "denied" that France participated in the Holocaust in the same way that people from Germany describe the actors in the Second World War as "Nazis" and not as "Germans." Marine, like the average German citizen, is simply separating her personal identity from the political party in control that took those actions against the Jews. She clearly did not deny or condone what happened to the Jews. The people of France were shocked by Marine's comment but ultimately understood her and agreed with her. That's why she remains high in the polls. You falsely vilified Marine, Vox.
Difference is the German government was the legitimate government, where as France was under occupation and a puppet government was installed known as the French State(Vichy France) which carried out the deportations, but the legitimate government was still around during the French occupation and was located in England and they did not have anything to do with said deportation.
I find it ironic that she has an issue with foreigners "taking over" France, but it was ok for France to invade and colonize most of West Africa, and parts of the Caribbean and Pacific, etc. If she wants the keep France French, the grant independence to places like New Caledonia, French Guiana, Reunion, etc.
I mean you cant force someone to be independent. Most of those dependencies you listed before cannot survive on their own, due to a lack of natural resources. Therefore, an overwhelming majority wants to stay as a French dependency, because getting food on your table is more important that nationalistic matters.
And her rhetoric isnt one like the "white majority, white rule" Trump uses. Instead, the nationalism she supports as "French" is civil nationalism, the idea of being proud of being a French citizen, not exactly a white French (even within White French, there are gasconese, occitanians, german, and brittany.) "French" has always been a fluid identity, and her rhetoric isnt against minorities per se, but the minorities who identify with their home country more than they do to loyalty to France. Also, I dont understand why Vox paints hate against Muslim fundamentalism as "bad". Most muslims also agree against Muslim Fundamentalism. Muslim fundamentalism undermines all the goals of western civilization and secularization. Muslim fundamentalists, Christian fundamentalists, Hindu fundamentalists, they're all dangerous to western society.
They want to be French. You are talking like France is taking them hostage. They want to be French and they know their country will be much worse if they separate from France.
That's nothing! I remember seeing a Far Right English nationalist group who insists we need a White Nationalist Revolution and seperate away from the UK (I found them while I was listening to some dope British patriotic songs) yet England is part of the UK and the UK did the same but worse! They colonized countries such as India, Pakistan, Malaysia, Australia, etc I will never understand the fear on immigrants, like what's wrong with people from other countries going to your country?
Nikka Gaddi Exactly, we do not want immigrants who come to France to live thanks to social aids without working (it is possible...for them, not for French people...) But, of course, a foreigner who comes in our country because he loves it is totally welcome ! If he speaks French and knows "La Marseillaise" and is totally adapted to the life style here in France ; we are proud of him, he would be a symbol of immigration, and they all should be like that... Unfortunately, it is bit the case...
What is wrong with being against immigration. If the country can't support itself because of immigration what do you want them to do? If their living standards are being lowered cuz of immigration or their national identity is disappearing cuz of immigration it is a normal thing to be against immigration. Countries are not charity they don't have to help anyone.
@@atslntrk immigration today has nothing to do with colonization. Do you think Immigrants only go to colonizer countries?? TheXtremeWayne and it barely qualifies as an ethnicity but I let that one slide only because there are certain ethnicities historically common to France. But above all FRENCH is a nationality.

Sinjin Smyth you got it backwards. i will open my home, lay out meals and even help someone find a job. Give them moral support, affection and the warm family environment every human deserves. BUT if they show a clear unwillingness to try and be a decent guest I am not the unreasonable one when i kick them out.
What do you consider to be "our house" in the case of France? During the colonial period, much of the world was considered French. The colonized were told to admire France and often forced to conform to French culture, religion, and language, and yet are now being denied entrance into the nation they were told was their own. If one considers French colonial history, it is not difficult to see how Le Pen's policies are both hypocritical and yes, racist.
I define "our house" and today's France in 2017. Even IF I were to agree with your assessment, how does this justify the actions of the incoming immigrants? How does it undermine the right of a sovereign nation to say "Follow the law and you can stay"? It doesn't. Using some past transgressions doesn't justify today's actions. Just because someone who looks like me did something ages ago, in many cases before I was born doesn't give anyone the right to inflict violence, rape and murder against me. Having something bad happen to someone who looks like you ages ago doesn't excuse your abhorrent behavior today.

Because I would never be a competent politician, I will never know what to do with refugees if they try to enter my own country in droves. How do I help these people, or how do I feed them, and what about my own citizens? These questions come to mind. Is there a particular country that has been good in helping and dealing with refugees? "Far right" in France isn't about being secular as secularism is already a kind of religion in my country. However, those who are against some religion (because she's against Islam, not all religions) are on far-right.
In France religion and the state are separated (since 1901) and far right parties praise secularism because following the principle of "laïcité", she could prevent Muslim people from wearing the hijab in the street, from praying anywhere but home and that's her point. In France we are very sceptical about the religion and the state put together, if she was to make the state Christian, an overwhelming majority of people would disagree.

No she s anti semitic and racist and never run anything in her life
I find it ironic that she has an issue with foreigners "taking over" France, but it was ok for France to invade and colonize most of West Africa, and parts of the Caribbean and Pacific, etc.
Kish B. Yeah you're right. no one is innocent. but using that to justify tolerating the current situation is stupid.

They don't see how they look from the side, supporting La Pen like she is some Jesus coming, even thought she brings absolutely no solutions and her whole persona is based on being "anti-something". Kinda sad to see how low politics now go.
