I've been living and working in China for nearly 8 months now and for most of that time I haven't really enjoyed it. Life is gradually better though. I have a wonderful Chinese boyfriend and I have watched this video. I have had some unpleasant discussions with Jewish people in the West who have told me I'm not Jewish because only my father was Jewish. This is despite the fact that I am a Tay-Sachs carrier. C'mon, guys, give me a break. Well, you should have heard me whoopin' and a hollerin' when I heard that the Kaifeng Jews have patrilineal descent. Yet another reason to love China. xxx I'm definitely paying Kaifeng a visit.

I believe that the search for the 10 lost tribes of Israel should not be limited to kaifeng. During the great dynasties, foreigners were allowed to move about freely in China and the israelites being businessmen would have moved anywhere they would have felt appropriate for their business.
So you tell me your are Jewish. Congratulations. Now you can join a people with an extraordinary history. However, if your mother was Chinese some would say you are not Jewish. Kaifeng Hebrews converted to Judaism of Askenazi/Shephardic Jews, and adopted the Hexagram symbol falsely called the Star of David. The fact is that King Daud of Ysrael did not use any symbol. The Hexagram is a symbol used in several ancient cultures and in present day major religions. The pagan Hexagram symbol called the Star of David does not belong to 12 tribes of Ysrael.
