Wow your family can teach guitar to the children.. What a blessing. Learning music can help with other subjects too. I have really enjoyed the children today
I follow a youtube channel of a doctor from England and he says there is probably no way to stop the transmission and everyone will get exposed to it. We appreciate your efforts to include us in your lives. Praying for continued recovery of all.
Thank you Mary!
Self care is, IS important! No explanations needed.👍👍Excellent job kids on your lean-to fort!👍👍
We had covid too over Christmas . Super achey and so so tired. Lost my taste and smell. But we all lived praise god. Thankful my taste and smell came back now. Covid is hell but take care of your body and health you make it through. Our bodies are so powerful. We gotta take care of them. ( y’all inspire me)
Glad y’all are getting better!!
My husband had covid back in October and he still does not have his taste and smell. He was real sick. Glad you all are starting to feel better. I am totally going to check out the GSE because I get chronic bronchitis. Thank you for sharing about it.
It’s been a blessing for us! ❤️
love how you just continue to shine your light through all adversity 💕
That’s such a sweet comment. Thank you!
I get the biggest kick out of your videos! You and your family are amazing. So many things going on at once and you manage to smile and keep your cool through it all…inspiring and fun at the same time. My wife and I lost our sense of smell with Covid-19 last January when it was the Covid du jour. we got it back after about a month. Then right before Christmas my wife contracted the Omicron variant (we think), was sick for a day and did not lose her sense of smell. Weird! God bless y’all and stay safe!
Aww thanks Jack! 😃
I’m glad you guys are feeling healthy now. I’m surely hoping for a quick smell recovery 🙃
The timing is perfect! My husband and i got covid just before christmas and lost our sense of smell. So frustrating! Thankyou so much.😍
Wow, glad you were able to get on top of it. I’m into doing things naturally. I’ll make a note about the GSE. Hope you get your smell back. Amazing that you and Jason didn’t notice the pancakes burning. Pray that all of you are getting better and hope the side affects don’t last forever. Crazy virus. 🙏🏻♥️🙏🏻
You handled it great Julia, dont let people make you feel bad for doing what is best for your family! Love your channel!❤
Thank you!
It doesn't matter what's going on you always keep pushing through it.you and your husband and family are all real troopers from Ronnie 😀👍😀👍 from Geelong VIC Australia.
Julie and Jason I Joe and pray that you are better soon God bless you all Happy new year 🎈🙏🏽✝️🇺🇸
Thanks Cathy!
hopefully it go away soon sending prayers
Espero se recuperen pronto y en lo que se pueda , reposar. Cuídense mucho. Saludos 🤗
I love how you guys handle sickness in general. It doesn't matter what its name is, because in the end God is in control, and He has given us many wonderful natural ways to help ourselves fight things off. We find oil of oregano under the tongue to be very effective at either stopping sickness from progressing, and helping to heal. I'll consider the gse for the future for respiratory though. Thanks for sharing that!
Yes we take Oil of Oregano for sickness too. You’re right! God has provided us with everything we need. It’s just awesome
I hope everyone is feeling better. I had it in July,no taste or smell for a month.
We had covid the first week of December , the fatigue and brain fog are real 😩my husband and I both lost our sense of taste and smell , it’s come back somewhat , some days better than others , and it’s been 5 weeks , I’m hoping it comes back fully soon , get well ❤️
Thank you Angela! Same for you 🙏🏻
Sorry you got the virus but glad you're on the mend. We didn't lose our taste or smell but the fatigue was real as well as having a fever ladt a week for me. I kept wondering when the fever would be gone for good. When you go through sickness like that you're really thankful for health when you're well again. Will pray you get your smell back soon! So glad your kids are keeping strong with learning guitar. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks friend!
Prayers for better health for all of you. 🙏🙏🙏
I'm a week in on it and it's rough. The simplest tasks are exhausting.
Glad y'all feel better
Yes me too! ❤️
My husband and I had Covid-19 in December of 2020, and we both lost our sense of taste and smell. It took 8 months for my husband to regain his sense of taste and smell. My case was really tough. Having fibromyalgia exacerbated EVERYTHING! We got sick again New Year’s Eve 2021, but tested negative to COVID-19. Whatever this virus is, I don’t want it! The fatigue I’m experiencing is beyond taxing on my body. Prayers sent to you and your family. Stay safe and healthy.❤️🙏🏼
Oh I’m so sorry! I had a friend with fibromyalgia. Such a difficult thing to live with 😔
@@jasonandjulie thank you. It is terrible, but I have a lot of support, so I’m truly thankful.❤️🙏🏼
That’s what we use in the nebulizer too! Before other kids get sick I have them use it and they won’t get sick:)
That’s great to hear!
Hope you all stay well. My daughter and her husband and 1 son had it in Sept., smell and taste still gone. Two of my sons and their families had it for Thanksgiving and Christmas. One has respiratory problems and had to go to hospital for the antibody. My sister told me today two of her friends have sons who just passed, one 27, the other 32. It makes no sense why some get mild case and others don't survive. Stay safe everyone.
Thank you Marie
Praying you all feel better soon!
Thank you!
That's an impressive fort! We had "it" too over Christmas
Aww that‘a no fun. Hope you’re feeling better!
Aw, sweet little Benjamin!
🥰
Please take care of your and your family health. . UA-cam will still be here when you feel up to flim more 🙏🙏🙏. ❤️❤️❤️
Good luck at getting your smell back. I always say if I lost my smell and taste for a while it would be a good thing. Why? Because I would finally get my healthy veggies in and probably lose some weight. I can’t stand the smell or taste of salads and veggies like lettuce, cucumbers, pickels, tomatos, etc. So I’d finally get some healthy veggies in me LOL! There are only a few veggies I like.
Haha yes it’s a good time for a diet change 😂
Covid s nasty but bless you all you struggled through just fine my husband and I had it last year at Christmas we didn’t test either my husband said for what reason to be a not her number , we knew we had we lost taste and smell we got it back about 8 days …..stay well love you just trudge on through it’s what I did we must ……god bless those kiddos are doing great with guitar and I love what memories are being formed by grandpa teaching….I’d say that’s a first ever I seen Lydia so entranced I think she liked the calico pet set ❤️
Thanks Rhonda! ❤️
Herd immunity finally happening cuz we’re living freely as we should have the past two years. Hope you all feel better. Loved the tip about nebulizer and GSE drops with distilled water. Gonna try that if needed plus Dr. Zelenko’s ZStack capsules. Take care!
God made a good thing when he gave us an immune system 🥰
My parents are mid-70s and I am going on 50 with a disability. We decided to get vaccinated and I am now the first to have gotten the booster. My mom will get it next week, and hopefully my dad soon after that (it is by appointment & invite from the government here in Belgium). From my perspective we did all we could. The rest will be in God's hands.
Zinc and fish oil every day is one good way to get back sense of smell/taste, but I can't promise anything. A friend of mine also recommends smelling burnt orange peels (no joke, she swore by it). Sniffing a variety of essential oils can also help (that's one thing I did as well, but again I can't guarantee anything). I wish you the best, and may Christ Jesus bring you healing in this new year.
Great tips. Thank you! 💕
Hi Julie! New subscriber! I'm sorry you all were sick through Christmas! You weren't the only ones celebrating a covidmas! Lol
I lost my sense of smell too and been taking oil of oregano tincture and it came back in a few days. Just don't do what I did at first and take an entire dropper right into the mouth 🤦🏼♀️😱🤣 it burned up to my eye balls!! A few drops in some liquid twice a day will do the trick! God bless you and your family!
Welcome! So glad you joined us. 🥰
Good idea with the oregano! I was taking the capsules but I’ll try my tincture instead. Yes Christmas at home was strange. First year for us! We did enjoy ourselves though. ❤️
Always love your videos. I too had "sickness" with loss of smell and taste. Been 3 weeks though for me and YEAH flavors have returned. The no tast was kind of worrisome as i love flavors ;) and just was an awful sensation. Anyway, also just ordered a nebulisor :) and the same gse you suggested. Important to do that one as the one that sais "original" is not the same. Thanks for your *info*,,,,, always welcome
Thank you for your encouragement!
The nebulizer has been such a blessing for us over the years! Glad to hear you’ll have one too
My prayers are with all of you who have contracted covid, I know that it can't be any fun.
Hope you are doing well here in India it just started please pray for us
I will Naveena ❤️
The link for the grapefruit extract didn’t work. Can you add again ? Thanks !!
Well that’s so weird, all of a sudden the one we normally purchase isn’t on Amazon anymore. This is the link for the regular strength one… we have always gotten this brand but the “maximum strength” so I’d maybe use two or three drops of this since it’s the regular strength amzn.to/3JXMR5I
The GSE link doesn't work. Glad you're all on the mend!
Yes it seems a lot of people were using the link because it was unavailable within an hour of sharing this video! Crazy! I found it also on vitacost www.vitacost.com/nutribiotic-maximum-gse-1-fl-oz?CSRC=BPA-728177009953-bing_pla_pro_high_herbs+%26+botanicals_NEW2021-&network=s&keywordname=&device=m&adid=92700064908810572&matchtype=e&gclick=&ds_agid=58700007234512023&targetid=&msclkid=b2adb319ec0818bf19ccd2c702e4e5a7&NEW2021&gclid=b2adb319ec0818bf19ccd2c702e4e5a7&gclsrc=3p.ds
Must be hard to rest in such a busy house.
We are three months out from covid and my taste and smell are still not back 100%. I had lost my smell completely and my taste was down to no flavors at all just a light sweet, salt, and citrus. My taste is probably at 70% now and my smell at 50%. Some things I smell fine, just not as strong and other things I still can't smell at all (one blessing is I have not been able to smell poop at all until a week ago, haha). Your body has to regrow the cells used for smell which can take a few weeks but then after that your brain has to be trained to recognize the smell again, it is so weird. I found it helped to smell very strong things a few times a day (citrus, peppermint, cinnamon, etc.) and while you are smelling imagine what it is supposed to smell like. Be careful if you are around toxic smells, like rubbing alcohol too - I completely forgot when using it that I probably should have some ventilation. I also burned quite a few things forgetting I was cooking. It is amazing how much we use our smell for and don't even realize it! I found a similar thing with re-training my taste - if I ate really strong flavors the next time I would eat them I could taste them a little more than before. We were sick over Christmas too, the kids mostly. I thought it was just a cold/flu, but now I am wondering if it was the omnicron variant because I was barely sick myself, but I noticed some of my taste and smell is diminished again! Luckily not as bad this time though.
Ok I’m going to try all your tips because I’m already missing my sense of smell! I feel like it’s necessary to be a mama LOL
@@jasonandjulie Hopefully yours comes back faster than mine. It took me three weeks to smell anything!
Hopefully it doesn’t last as long as mine. I got it last August and I still don’t have smell 👃 or taste 👅😲🙄
Oh wow!
" pull myself up by my boots strap ". glad y'all are feeling better. am vaccinated so I hope I don't get "it". your kids are adorable. good job mom and dad.
Am vaxed with MS, the symptoms people describe. And no I’m not a that type that think those symptoms are what I have. But I never lost my taste just my smell but my meds leave me with severe rhinitis. Then feeling lethargic to where I put something off until another day for 2 days, carry out and all.
So sorry to hear that 😔
I have a nebulizer but I’m pregnant so I don’t think I can use GSE. Is there something else I can use? Thanks!
I’ve used it through all my pregnancies ❤️
@@jasonandjulie good to know! I think I missed how much you put in. I’m not currently sick but want to be prepared. :)
@@krisannethimum I use one drop GSE to one ounce of water in the nebulizer. But I also use GSE for sore throat prevention. Most mornings I drink a couple drops in a little water, and if I feel a sore throat coming on I do it more frequently. Works great!
@@jasonandjulie perfect, thank you!!
I am very interested in the GSE, but the link doesn’t work for me. Would you please provide the name of the one you use? Thank you!
I think too many people clicked on the first link because it went “unavailable” Oops! Here’s another one I found on Amazon amzn.to/3Gscf1u
Thank you Julie!
That fort is amazing! Do you let your kids have screen time?
We let them do productive things with screens… guitar lessons, learning coding language, researching, etc. Then on Saturdays they get 90 minutes of computer game time
Our family probably had "it" back in September. We didn't do the testing thing either. Our kids had mostly just cold-like symptoms. My hubby and I were out a little longer. We did a lot of natural supplements. I'm sure it could have been much worse if we hadn't.
That’s our approach as well ❤️
My smell didn't come back for 2 1/2 months and my true taste even longer. Blech!
Try to detox. Flushing out all the toxins will help.
Wow that’s a long time!
We are just getting over something. Didn’t get tested so don’t know what! I did not lose my sense of taste or smelll!
Glad you’re feeling better!
Yeah hubby was sick with a slight cold and then he lost his sense of smell. He noticed and said it out loud at work so they ent him for a test. So bingo. Then my 7 y/o got a fever and a cough the next day. Then me...the fever lingered for me a week. when it broke I lost my sense of smell. Took 2 months to come back. It still isn't super strongand its been 3 months. I have to be right up on something to smell it. I also noticed I seem to have a dairy intolerance since. I wake up the next morning with my throat full of phlegm of I did have something like whipping cream or ice cream.
Oh wow! I hope it is temporary for you
OMG, so i came across a video by a chiropractor that showed how he helped get back taste and smell just by touching the forehead and tongue and flicking the back of the head. Look it up.
I sent the video to my bestfriend and she and her husband tried it. Within minutes she could taste a lemon and smell vicks. She is so happy!!! Between this and eating a burnt orange, so many people are waking their sense of smell and taste back up.
Wow that’s crazy! I’ll look it up thank you!
Take care so the virus does not come back! We have had trouble with that even when the children had their shots and boosters .
I guess there’s one thing you CAN’T say about Covid…It stinks? 🤧
LOL
I had Covid the end of August. I still can’t smell unless it is very strong.
Oh wow! That’s a long time
But you have visitors, would you not be worried about passing it on though Julie? I think your suppose to quarantine. And the grand dad visiting!
This happened a few weeks ago. We’re past the quarantine recommendation
I totally forgot about GSE!!! thank you ❤️. Do you use saline or distilled water with it in the neb? I used that years ago for myself.
It's funny, respiratory issues are the only thing I go to Western medicine for--one of my 11 yo twins ended up hospitalized, almost in ICU as a toddler because of asthma, despite all the at home stuff we were doing. Thankfully she has needed zero steroids in over a year!!! (In addition to olive leaf extract, etc etc)
Distilled water 😃
Isn't it always so unfair how moms get sick last?! Everyone else is happy and re-energized and we need rest 😫
Haha yes
Our family of 6 just battled "covid", some of us still have a cough but my husband and I have lost our taste and smell....actually it comes and goes...sometimes we smell and taste then at others times we don't. 🤣 it's crazy. Glad you guys are doing well!!
This was my family this past November. I still don’t have full taste or sense of smell. Very annoying. I imagine once my smell is fully back that taste will be back. But for the meantime, like you, it’s in waves.
I had it a year ago and still have not fully recovered my smell. A lot of soaps have a horrible smell to them. But God is merciful and has healed every other symptom i had. Than you for the tip for the nebulizer. My daughter has to have an albuterol treatment almost every time she gets sick but i think i will try this next time. God bless you and your family.
Did y’all get the card game I sent you?
We haven’t received it yet. Post office say they hadn’t seen it. We’ll keep our eyes open!
It's been nearly a year and my husband still hasn't recovered all of his smell! There are a few things he is now able to smell but for the most part he still can't smell. Love watching your family videos 😊
Oh no! Poor guy! I’m hoping it’s not that long for me 🤪
I agree, why get tested. As long as you know what's best for you and your family. Hope everyone is feeling better. God bless you and your family ❤
Thank you Helen 💕
I got covid two Thanksgivings ago and still have a certain amount of lack of taste and smell, or distorted taste and smell. Just got over covid again, didn't help....good luck, if you find a cure let me know! COVID brain fog is real, girl. I feel ya
Wow! I hope it gets back to normal for you ❤️
We went through a flu/"covid?" or something recently... and I first noticed I lost sense of smell because I was surprised by a poopy diaper that I had no clue about! 😆 My sister told me hers was back within a few weeks. I finally caught a whiff of the peppermint oil I put on my dryer balls, yay! We didn't test either; it's been made clear the tests weren't designed to test for covid and can easily be manipulated to get desired results, depending on what amplification they use. No need to participate in a lie. Anyway! That's interesting about the grapefruit seed extract! And that brain frog is real hehe ;) Hopefully you start feeling more normal soon and get some energy back! 💛
Haha I had the same thing happen to me 😂
I completely lost my sense of smell too, my poor baby had more rashes the month it took me to smell again then she ever did.
You need to retrain your brain to smell. Research it. Use essential oils, and "smell", telling your brain what you are smelling. I did this, and regained my smell in about 2 weeks. And yes, brain fog (my dr called it covid fog) is very real. The exhaustion is the worst. Praying for you all.
I’ll check that out. Thank you!
❤️❤️❤️🙏🏼
I wouldn’t test for Covid either, I know people who have a headache and got tested. 🤪 is Pepper a Standard Poodle? I have 3 poodles, a mini and 2 toys, I really want a standard but am kinda scared of the size, I have only ever owned small dogs. Was she a crazy puppy?
Yes he’s a standard… 5 years old and still pretty bouncy LOL. He did have a lot of energy as a puppy but took a lot of naps too so it was manageable.
Did you not have your vacines. It would have helped a lot with lesser symptoms. Glad u are all OK
Honestly it wasn’t too bad for us at all. I’d just rather be sick and get a stronger immune system 😃
@@jasonandjulie Same at our house. Us and many people I know who have had "it" have said we've all had the flu hit our houses worse! Natural immunity 👍💪
I'm glad you were one of the lucky ones and didn't have the rough version.
@@brendawomack5380 get the treatments early if your immune system needs it to avoid the rough version later. That has been known for two years.
I had covid pneumonia back in may and it was awful…..I have a terrible cold this time around was exposed to influenza and covid at work but we’ll tested negative…. Now ims tarting antibiotics and a steroid
Sorry to hear you’re not feeling well! ❤️
