What’s the reason for establishing a curved [arching] bald line around the ear? Instead of just doing a straight bald line going down? Is it preference?

Curve gives more definition. Strait one going down would look like a flat blur transition
It’s just preference on the fade. Never do it completely straight tho always try to have a slight curve to follow the head shape
@dreclipperhands when you set your guidelines do you recommend a clipper on factory settings or zero gapped for setting guidelines.?
