Thank you! I have read The Search for Sheepheaven Trout by Russell Hill but I didn’t know about Ghost Trout. I just ordered it. Thank you for the suggestion!
Great video. Re: no trout in good pool. I live back East and was very suprised at how far brook trout, especially the largest ones in a given stream, migrate in a season according to radio telemetry presentation from F&W at a TU meeting. Many miles, up and down tribs, you get the idea. Most prevalent at beginning and ending of seasons. Maybe your bigfella was on walkabout when you visited his primary residence. Super pretty fish.
Thank you! That sounds like a fascinating presentation and a great point. I'm going to have to do a search and see if I can turn up any publications on this topic. Thanks for your input. It was definitely a pretty fish.
@@GoFishingOften thank you for the reply and code! Your videos of California fishing are absolutely fantastic. I’ve only started tenkara style fishing a few months ago just recently I went into the backcountry and caught my first heritage coastal rainbow. I needed a smaller rod setup for the over grown canyon.
Thank you for taking the time to film. I am getting my first tenkara rod today and can't wait to fish custer County idaho.
Thank you. Good luck with your new rod!
