Yeah, I used a three 5/8 inch ribbon and one 7/8 inch ribbon for the outside, it looked just fine.

I absolutely love this and have been looking for a harlequin pattern everywhere so thank you for sharing this. I want to make it in red and black. To stop it from unraveling on the way down could I use the glue gun everytime I move the clip down or would that make it look lumpy?
