Beautiful, looks so fresh and sweet, love it gonna give it a go
Thanks Jean, oh yes, give it a go! 💗💗
You are so deliberate with your brushwork! But, have managed to keep this just loose enough anyway! Magnolias are not only gorgeous, they symbolize strength! And, you are very strong, they suit you.
Thank you Becca, I didn't know that about the symbolism of magnolias, that is something useful to know. I wonder if it is because they flower so early in the year, which is very brave of them! 💗💗
@@karipaints6259 It also symbolizes dignity and pride. Supposedly because it is considered and ancient tree. But all great things falling in allegiance with it!
Your work is so beautiful! I’m mesmerized whenever you paint.
I am brand new to watercolor so I am a bit intimidated by such wonderful work painters like you create! I must tell myself i can’t expect to do more than I can do right now. Practice, practice, practice-don’t get discouraged, and most of all, have fun learning!
I’d love to see you focus a few paintings on those of us just beginning. Thank you for your inspiring work!!!
Thank you so much Sidney, you will have a wonderful time learning, it is such a lot of fun and yes practice is key! 💗💗
Gorgeous! ~Ana xo
This is absolutely stunning Kari, I love it 💕
Thank you so much Andrea! 💗💗
So beautifully done. I feel so intimidated by watercolor - I need to find a class. You have magic in your fingertips 🥰
Thanks Kate, yes watercolour can seem intimidating, but it is a lovely medium for ease of use - the clean up afterwards is much easier than with acrylics or oils. On the other hand, it is hard to rectify a painting if you go wrong, which is where it gets that intimidating reputation from! I hope you can find a class, that is a good idea. I have had some amazing tutors over the years! 💗💗
Absolutely gorgeous. Thank you so much! I’m only a beginner and this is such an inspiration😊
Thank you Tammy, I am so glad you like it. Welcome to the world of watercolours, I think you are in for a fun time learning them! 💝
Wow! Another beauty! I know you call this loose but it's quite intricate to me Lol... I love watching you paint kari. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks so much Maria, I have a tendency to fiddle too much with minute details that really aren't necessary and, if anything, detract from the beauty of watercolours, especially. 💗😂💗
New to watercolours I am trying yr coneflower
Very nice! It would be nice to see the reference photos. Thanks!
Thanks Debrah, aaah, well a reference photo would have been handy, but I used some rather rough drawings I did of my neighbour's tree and I was a bit embarrassed at how messy they were! Maybe I can do a video working from a photo in future though, it's a good idea! 💕💕
Totally gorgeous Kari. Rather ethereal Magnolias.
I love watching you paint, it’s quite a magical process.
What is the name of the brush you use initially to dampen the paper?
I just can’t catch it when you say.
I found an ATC from you (2006) in my stash this week.
Where has that time gone? 😍😍xx
Thanks Sheilagh, the brush I use at the beginning is a hake brush (pronounced hah-kee). Oh wow, how lovely to find the old ATC from 16 years ago😮, time is going scarily fast nowadays. 💗💗
