The AFTER SCHOOL REUNION stage for MMTG meant so much to me.
As much joy it brought me, I hope that it brought joy to the other members on stage with me as well as for the fans watching the performance.
I would like to thank the MMTG team again for giving us the opportunity to get back on the stage, as well as to all the fans around the world who were cheering for us.
I hope you'll enjoy my story of the Reunion performance!

can we just take a second to appreciate how groups of the 2010-generation (2nd gen) can be so friendly with one another WITHOUT having to fans attacking one another 😢

Many 2nd gen fans are working adults & married now thats why we're done with fighting😂😂 (I'm speaking from my experience as blackjack & sone, those two are the wildest among gg fandom)
@@farawr95 omg I was in middle school when I got into both and the back and forth about who was really the biggest girl group was absolutely wild. And I remember witnessing a bunch of fan wars between fandoms that literally started because the groups debuted on the same day. The most memorable for me being the one between Block B fans and B1A4 fans - not even in the same concept but people were so mad 😭I honestly think things are way more mellow now but maybe thats because I'm not a teenager anymore and I don't engage with any of the fandoms I'm in anymroe - I just watch compilations and go on my way

Seungkwan is not just a fan. AS is his big sisters since they are both from Pledis. He was trained by Raina during their trainee days so this means a lot to him.

누나 10년 넘은 팬입니다. 하... 사실 문특 보면서 너무 이런저런 생각이 많았어요... 그 중 가장 컸던 게 애프터스쿨이란 그룹이 우리한테 아니 나한테 너무 소중했었는데... 라는 생각이었구요...! 재컴백을 바란다거나 하진 않아요. 다만 정말 이번에 좋은 기회로 이렇게 베카까지 다...! 우리 기억에 다시 한 번 남아줘서 고맙다고 말하고 싶네요.
저도 너무 감사하다는 말을 전하고 싶어지더라고요.. 그때 얼마나 행복했던지 이 기분을 다시 느낀것도 행복합니다
저는 완전한 팬이었다고 말하기엔 수줍지만 애프터스쿨 무대를 너무 좋아해서 아직까지도 종종 애프터스쿨 영상을 찾아보던 사람인데 너무 공감해요 우리 기억에 다시 한번 남아줬다는 말 공감이요..! 그리구 마지막에 가희언니가 "우리 팬들 얼마나 좋아할까" 라고 했던 말에 ,, 애프터스쿨 무대를 좋아했던 사람으로써 너무 좋고 정말 반갑고ㅠㅠㅜㅜ 그러네요
ㄹㅇ..ㅜㅜ팬도 아닌데 문특 무대보고 찡했음..ㅠ
가희씨랑 동갑 남성입니다. 현재 국립대학에서 학생들을 가르치는 교직에 종사하고 있습니다. 우리 나이가 한참 일할 나이죠. 저도 6살 8살 아이 둘을 가진 아빠예요. 가희씨가 한참 티비에 나올 때 저는 한참 대학원에서 디자인 공부를 하고 있었어요. 티비를 많이 보진 않았지만, 그때는 무척 바쁘게 지냈어서 긴시간 드라마나 영화를 보는것은 저에겐 큰 사치였어요. 기숙사에 살아서 티비도 없었고요. 대신 잠깐씩 뮤직비디오 동영상을 보며 잠시 기분전환을 하고 그랬습니다. 그때 많이 봤던게 에프터스쿨 뮤비였어요. 그땐 뮤비 영상을 다운받아서 곰플레이어로 봤지요. 멋지게 춤을 추는 가희 님을 보며, 나와는 다른 세상의 사람이구나, 나도 열심히 살아야겠다 생각하던 기억이 나요. 지금은 어느정도 사회에서 역할을 하는 중년의 어른이 되어 오랜만에 가희님의 영상을 보니. 참 멋지게 살아온 또래라는 생각이 들어요. 감회가 새롭습니다. 전혀 다른 세상에 있다고 생각했던 우리는 같은 시간, 다른 곳에서 각자 열심히 살아왔구나 싶습니다. 나도 안주하지 말고 앞으로 더 열심히 살아야겠다 생각을 하게 됩니다. 가희님은 저를 모르시겠지만, 이제는 뭔가 친구처럼 생각해도 될까요? 참 멋지십니다. 강한 여전사가 아닌 동생들을 이끌어 가기 위해 누구보다 노력했던 속깊은 맏언니 였던 것이 이제 보이네요. 한참 일할 나이잖아요. 가요계도 가희님의 열정을 펼칠 역할이 많을 것 같습니다. 전성기보다 노래도 더 잘하시고 안무도 더 잘하시는거 같아요 ^^. 이제 찐팬이 되었지만 앞으로도 응원하겠습니다. 가희님을 자주 방송에서 뵙기를 바랍니다~ 늘 행복하고 건강하세요.

20대인 제가 10대의 추억인 애프터스쿨 무대를 보면서 눈물이 나는 이유는 재결합에 대해 감동하는 것도 있겠지만 무엇보다도 용기를 얻게 되어서인 것 같아요. 젊음을 오직 아름다움으로만 소비당하고 나이가 들면 매체에서 사라지는 여자들을 보면서 무의식적으로 제 미래도 상상하는 게 어려워졌어요. 그런데 이번 문명특급 컴눈명을 통해 납작하게만 소비되고 대상화되었던 걸그룹에서 나아가 아티스트로서, 인간으로서 미디어에서 비춰지는 언니들을 보니 저도 언젠간 힘든 이 시기를 추억하고 즐길 수 있게 되지 않을까라는 생각이 들었어요. 자신의 삶을 보여주는 언니들한테서 힘을 얻어요.
맴버들에게도 특별한 날이지만, 활동이 끝난후에도 쭉 애프터스쿨 팬으로 남아있는 팬들에게도 정말 특별하고 행복한 날이였어요.
이렇게 뒷모습들 영상으로 남겨주셔서 고맙고 여전히 응원합니다.
정말..나중엔 언젠가.. 모든맴버가 모이는 날이 있기를 기대합니다.

자기관리를 얼마나 잘하셨으면 10년전이랑 크게 달라진게 없어요,, 오히려 10년전보다 지금 더 좋아보여요ㅠ 결혼하고 아이낳고 하다보면 자기자신에겐 소홀해지는 경우도 있던데 (그만큼 힘드니까ㅠ,,) 언니는 진짜 얼마나 열심히 살아왔는지 가늠도 안되네요 너무 존경하고 항상 잘 보고 있어요 언니 사랑해애애애액~~!!!!!

i cant even explain how much i cried watching the performances of your reunion!!! I was 14 when AH! was released and I am 29 now. I still love afterschool and have kept all my afterschool albums/cds.

I've been a fan since 2010, and luckily managed to see AS when you all came to Singapore in 2011. Never thought that we would ever see AS on stage together ever again. I've been YG Stand since 2007 but I have soft spot for 2nd Gen boy and gir groups. They are totally badass, the period when I could call it as concept war....like 2ne1 with their girl crush, SNSD with their cuteness, Wonder Girls with the retro, After school with their unique performance (drum, tap dance, pole dance), etc. I miss that period.

I still cant move on from the reunion and still listening to after school song everyday. So happy when kibum appear here.
Kahi is easily one of the best dancers in kpop, you can clearly see how passionate she is when performing and training with the girls
저 일본사람인데요 제가 초등학생 때 AFTERSCHOOL 노래 많이 들었었거든요...그때 일본에서도 많이 활동해주셔서 너무 좋았어요. 컴눈명 특집으로 나왔던 무대 잘 봤어요! 보면서 제가 6학년 때 학교 끝나자마자 집에 가서 뱅 뮤비 보면서 춤 따라했던 시절이 기억이 나서 저도 모르게 울컥했어요ㅠㅠ 언니들 덕에 한국어도 공부하고 지금 이렇게 댓글을 달았답니다ㅎㅎ 암튼 바쁘셨을텐데 많이 준비하고 이렇게 좋은 무대 보여주셔서 감사합니다!! 언니들 사랑해요💕

Been a fan of afterschool since 2010 and not gonna lie my fav was bekah, and still remember coming home frm school to read the articles of her departure was so sad... Thank you to the staffs and members who worked hard helping with the stage and performance.. Afterschool was and will be forever be my childhood memories.. love you guys

@@ed3245 She was pushed out by Pledis because she didn't fit the body image that they wanted her to. They made her feel like she was too fat to be an idol, and consistently told her she wasn't good enough. Saying that she "left early for her studies in design" ignores what was actually done to her by the label and Korea's beauty standards. Everyone lost an excessive amount of weight for the Flashback comeback, and it was obvious what concept Pledis was going for that Bekah couldn't do without starving and literally killing herself. She went home to Hawaii learn to love herself again, eat real food, and she looks fucking fantastic now.

As a 2nd generation stan, I am easily in tears in reunion stages of inactive groups. Ever since the announcement of AS reunion stage, to their actual performance and to this vlog, I have been in tears recalling my happy memories watching them in my younger years. I'm just so lucky that my ultimate bias group Super Junior is still together and actively promoting and I wouldn't have to wait on years and probabilities of them reuniting for a stage. And I'm just looking forward to all the comeback and reunion stages of 2nd generation groups this year. I wonder how that must have felt for AS and 2PM, meeting each other, I hoped they got the chance to talk. As a fan, that brought back a lot of happy times when they were promoting together back then. Kahi-unnie and members, you've done so well for this reunion stage. You've made me happy and I know that's the same feeling most of us 2nd generation fans. We will forever remember After School and your good music and stages ❤️❤️❤️

Like Bekkah said: It's a miracle. It such a shame that I encounter and knew AS when AS doesn't active anymore. So I thought that I would never saw the recent stage anymore. Thanks to MMTG TEAM and all of the members that could participate in AS comeback. Now I have the chance to see AS comeback with my own eyes eventho I couldn't witness it in person tho. But my soul basicly roaming in the studio you know ㅋㅋ. Again, thanks for the dedication. Hope to see AS comeback again. Please be healthy

As a 2nd gen fan, this filled me with so much joy and nostalgia! I cried throughout this whole video! I love that this resurgence of old kpop has brought back old faves and this concert brought back a group like After School even if it was only for one appearance. I'm so happy that they were able to feel the love people still have for their music because of the MMTG concert.
언니 저 초등학생때 언니 처음 데뷔작인 play girlz랑 ah할 때 보고 빠졌었는데 제가 어느새 20대가 되었네요 문명특급보고 티비앞에서 언니보면서 넋나갔던때가 생각나서 울컥했어요ㅜㅜ😭 여전히 멋져요
